Description

The invention relates to a knitted fabric made of textile threads according to the preamble of claim 1. Furthermore, the invention relates to a method for manufacturing such a knitted fabric according to the preamble of claim 7.

The knitted fabric can be made from natural fibers, for example cotton, or from synthetic threads such as polyester and polyamide or the like, and made from mineral fibers, glass fibers or steel threads and aramids his. It consists of at least one section of flat knitted fabric any laying, for example in jersey, cloth, atlas, satin or Net shape and at least one, on a side edge of the flat Knitted fabric adjoining and connected with this, knitted Tube.

Such a knitted fabric is used, for example, as a flexible inner door pocket Automobile doors used: For this, a knitted network with an overhead knitted double jersey band as a door pocket net on the inside attached to the door, this band with a spring steel strip screwed to the inside of the door using elongated holes is reinforced. Around the spring steel band with the double jersey band of the door pocket net to wrap, this is folded in half and into one Sewn hose together, into which the spring steel band is inserted can be.

This sewing of the flat, knitted ribbon into a tube is very complex: an extraordinarily precise seam course is essential, because every inaccuracy immediately catches the eye. It is correspondingly tedious Sew the tape, which is usually done by hand, and the costs and the error rate are correspondingly high.

There is therefore a need for a knitted tube and a section made of flat knitwear seamlessly butting in one operation manufacture.

However, the technique described there is in essentially based on production on flat knitting machines, so that the problem at hand according to the state of the art described there Technology cannot be solved satisfactorily.

GB 1,454,375 A describes a flat knitted fabric that is periodic is interrupted by transverse loops. These loops are created on a double-layer knitting machine in that a two-layer flat Knitted fabric periodically in a front and rear single-layer knitted fabric split up and the two knitwear then brought together again become. Similar processes are also known, for example, from US Pat. No. 3,899,900 and the AU 542 599 B known. A key obstacle to trying to use this state of the art for the present problem, is that the loops produced in this way are at most the length Can correspond to the width of the knitting machine used. An economical sensible manufacture of a knitted fabric of the type mentioned is after this state of the art is hardly possible.

The invention is therefore based on the object, a knitted fabric of the beginning to propose the type mentioned, its manufacture easier and is cheaper and more precise to carry out. In addition, should specified a method for producing such a new knitted fabric become.

This task is through a knitted fabric with the features of the claim 1 and with a method for producing such a knitted fabric solved the features of claim 7.

Advantageous configurations of the knitted fabric result from the claims 2 to 6. Advantageous further developments of the method according to the invention are laid down in claims 8 to 12.

According to the invention, the knitted fabric consists of at least one section from flat knitted fabric of any type and at least one, to one lateral edge of the flat knitted fabric adjacent and connected to it, knitted tube, the tube being seamless and is knitted in one piece on the flat knitted fabric.

According to the invention, it has thus been recognized that those outlined above Disadvantages of the prior art can be eliminated very efficiently can do that conventionally by sewing a textile tape together manufactured hose to the same in one operation adjacent knitted fabric knitted and thus a precise and invisible Transition between flat knitted fabric and hose is formed.

This amazingly simple and efficient solution to the problems described of the prior art is achieved by the inventive method for the production of the new knitted fabric enables:

It is known per se, a seamless hose on a double bar Manufacture knitting machine by the first needle bar a front Hose wall and the second needle bar one from the front hose wall separate, rear tube wall acts while on the side Edges of the two hose walls, a common first and a common second edge thread, the front and the rear tube wall in each case connecting, acting. By appropriate setting a knitted tube can be produced for the respective thread tensions be, the marginal threads are not after completion of the hose are more recognizable.

According to the invention, it has now been recognized that it is possible to use the same double-bar knitting machine, next to and on the hose adjacent, at the same time to produce a flat knitted fabric and in one piece to work on the seamless hose in one and the same operation: To avoid misplacement, it is common to have a flat To be knitted with one edge thread at each side edge. If now the edges of the two facing the flat knitted fabric Hose walls and the edge of the flat surface adjacent to the hose Knitted fabrics are sewn with a single, common thread, the seamless and one-piece connection according to the invention results the flat knitted fabric with the knitted tube.

The flat knitted fabric can be designed as a network, namely from optical Reasons preferred as a double-knit network. This is no problem possible, because the net next to the knitted tube anyway on a double-bar knitting machine is produced. The network is not just that more stable, but has the same look from both sides and is the same thickness as the two-ply one in the delivery state Tube. The shape of the network is arbitrary, for example Rhombuses, hexagons, squares or even ovals are formed.

The tube is preferably made as a double jersey, although other interpretations are also conceivable here.

For the preferred application of the invention described at the beginning It is useful to knit this as a pocket net with molded on top Textile tube to hold an elastic metal or Plastic tape or stick, or a rubber cord, that can be struck against a substantially flat surface.

In order to invisibly incorporate the edge thread into the knitted fabric, it is advantageous to if the thread tension of the border threads is adjusted separately. Here, all edge threads can be made with a different thread from the other Thread tension or with individually set for each edge thread Thread tension can be processed.

In Figure 1 is an end piece of a knitted fabric according to the invention, the total is designated by the reference number 1, in a schematic, shown perspective view. The embodiment shown consists of a section 2 of flat knitted fabric, on the one side edge 3 a seamless knitted tube 4 in one piece on the section 2 of the flat knitted fabric is knitted. The hose 4 is present made as double jersey, whereas section 2 consists of one knitted network 5 with diamond stems 6 arranged.

19 zu.Figure 2 shows a schematic side view of the functionally important Parts of a double-bar knitting machine on which the inventive Knitted fabric is produced. The threads for the knitted fabric are in known from the (not shown) warp beam with a defined Frictional resistance through needles 7 to 15 through the two rows of front latch needles 16 and rear latch needles 17 on one front needle bar 18 and a rear needle bar 19 fed. The needles 7 to 15 are in the usual way on, not shown here, Fixing rails running perpendicular to the image plane and are projected onto one level in the illustration, but are located staggered one after the other and each lead the particular thread front latch needle 16 or rear latch needle 17 of the needle bar 18 or 19 to.

The stitch formation takes place in a manner known per se by moving up and down of the two latch needles 16 and 17, in interaction with one downward biasing of the knitted fabric 1, with an ejection movement the (not visible) laying rails in the direction of the double arrow 20, by means of which the needles 7 to 15 mesh through the Rows of latch needles 16 and 17 are moved, as well as with a tip Movement of the laying rails and their needles 7 to 15 in one plane perpendicular to the image plane: the latter movement does not take place periodically, but in discrete, separately for each laying bar controlled displacement movements; it generates together with the ejection movement 20 loops of the latch needle 16 or 17 with the each associated thread, creating stitches from the needle hook 21 or 22 down to a front tapping edge 23 or one rear tee 24 are pulled. The next upward move the latch needle 16 or 17 opens the respective stitch the respective Tongue 25, 26 slides over tongue 25, 26 and closes it with the next downward movement of the latch needle 16, 17 again, see above that it slides over the tongue 25, 26 and the needle hook 21, 22, wraps the new stitch already in the hooks 21, 22 and over the tapping edge 23, 24 is knocked off.

  • the perforated needle 12 guides a second edge thread 32, which connects the two tube walls 4a and 4b on the side of the tube 4 opposite the edge 3;
  • the needle 13 leads a rear net thread 33;
  • the perforated needle 14 guides a first rear jersey thread 34 for the rear tube wall 4b;
  • the perforated needle 15 guides a second rear jersey thread 35 for the rear tube wall 4b.
The laying movements of the individual laying rails are in one in Figure 3 Laying picture recorded: This laying picture shows side by side the laying movements of the individual needles of the nine different ones Laying rails over time, with horizontal movements of the Laying rails in a plane perpendicular to the image plane in FIG. 2 and the time axis is plotted vertically. Because the up and down movements of the two needle bars 18 and 19 take place alternately, are on the time axis of Figure 3 for better understanding with the letter V and H marks the times at which the front (V) latch needles the front needle bar 18 or the rear (H) latch needles 17 the rear needle bar 19 are at the top and from the respective thread to form to be looped.

From Figure 3 it can be seen that the needles 7 and 8 with each here eight first and second front jersey threads 27 and 28 on the front Needle bar 18 (V) a double tricot for the front tube wall 4a produce, whereas the needles 14 and 15 with each again eight first and second rear jersey threads 34 and 35 on the back Nadelbarre 19 (H) a double tricot for the rear tube wall 4b. Only on the outer edge of the two double jersey fabrics that the form two tube walls 4a and 4b, a second edge thread is linked 32 with both double tricot fabrics since it is both on the front needle bar 18 (V) and on the rear needle bar 19 (H) runs.

The needles 9 and 13 produce double-knitted net stems because they alternating on the front needle bar 18 (V) and the rear needle bar 19 (H) work. Recurring regularly, at the times 36 and 37, there is a cross connection with the neighboring one Network thread pair (29, 33), so that the result is a network with diamond-shaped Pattern results. The perforated needle 11 is overcast with the left one Edge thread 31 the outer edge of the network, while the piercing needle 10 leads the right edge thread 30 for the network. Since the right edge thread 30 at the same time as the first common border thread of the two double tricot fabrics serves, with this laying pattern the one shown in FIG. 1 can be seamless and one-piece knitted fabric made from a diamond-shaped network and a knitted double tricot tube.
