    Claims (7)

    1. Air-flow bed comprising means for circulation of air between the lateral parts and the central area of the air chamber or intermediate space defined by the mattress (1) and by a cover (8), such that a tempered air flow can reach the body of a user, characterised in that holes (5) are provided in a central position in the mattress, such that the air contained in the central part of the intermediate space (7) delimited by the cover (8) which edges the mattress, situated in the area of the stretched-out body, is firstly sucked towards the exterior, and in that additional holes (6', 6") are provided in the lateral parts of the mattress, such that the air is then returned to the interior of the said intermediate space.
    2. Air-flow bed according to claim 1, characterised in that it contains at least two intercommunicating chambers which are disposed beneath the perforated mattress, the first chamber (3), which is placed in the region of the central part of the plane of the bed, being provided with a suction means (10) which assures suction of the air which surrounds the body at rest, whereas the second chamber (4', 4") which is placed along the two longitudinal edges of the mattress, assures that the air previously sucked into the said intermediate space is forced back in return.
    3. Air-flow bed according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that, in the connection duct between the chambers, i.e. the central chamber (3) and the two lateral chambers (4', 4"), there are provided humidifiers and thermoregulators (13) which improve the characteristics of the air being recirculated, by adapting them to the external ambient conditions or to the requirements of the person who is resting.
    4. Air-flow bed according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that beneath the mattress (1), which has a narrow thickness and is supported by laths (2), there are provided a central chamber (3) and two lateral chambers (4', 4") which extend longitudinally along the entire length of the mattress, except in the pillow support area, the said chambers being put into communication by means of a plurality of central (5) and lateral (6', 6") holes, with the intermediate space (7) delimited by the cover (8) which covers the body (9) and is edged on the sides of the mattress, whereas, on the central chamber (3) there is fitted at least one suction means (10) which, through the plurality of holes (5) provided in the central part of the mattress, sucks up the air which occupies the central part of the intermediate space, i.e. in practice that which is in contact with the body (9) at rest, the air thus sucked up being conveyed by ducts (11', 11") in which there are interposed conditioning devices (13), to the two lateral chambers (4', 4"), and then returning to the said intermediate space via the plurality of lateral holes (6', 6"), thus generating a continuous flow of air (12) which reaches the body of a user.
    5. Air-flow bed according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that the air flow (12) is also present when the cover (8) is fully supported on the mattress (1), i.e. in the absence of the intermediate space (7), open micro-channels (14) which connect lateral holes (6) to central holes (5) being provided on the surface of the mattress.
    6. Air-flow bed according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that the air flow (12) can circulate in the two opposite directions.
    7. Air-flow bed according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterised in that the mattress (1), which constitutes an integral part of the system for recirculation of the air in a closed circuit, is perforated in the vertical direction in two or more than two distinct areas (5, 6), in order to assure the continuity of the flow with the underlying chambers (3, 4), and has a minimal thickness, in order to prevent the said holes for passage of the air becoming blocked by the deformation of the mattress, and in order to obtain the maximum advantage from the resilience of the support laths (2).
