Definitions
- the invention relates to fins for heat exchangers with one or more rows of openings, through which the tubes of the heat exchanger extend (flat fins) or corrugated fins between the heat exchanger tubes are arranged, optionally with lamella cuts, for Increase in heat exchange as well as with folded edge, which has a free cross section in itself includes.
- a manufacturing method for such ribs is also described.
- Such ribs are known from US Pat. No. 1,752,879 and US Pat. No. 4,592,420, the so-called Flat ribs are and otherwise have the features described.
- the opposite Longitudinal edges have not - like with other solutions - been folded over and pressed together, instead, as described, they enclose a free cross section, which is in the mentioned publications has approximately the shape of a drop.
- This edge training contributes to this in that the incoming cooling air jets are swirled more intensely and the efficiency of the heat exchange lift. It should also be associated with better rib stability.
- the material of the ribs e.g.
- corrugated ribs are known, which are arranged between the heat exchanger tubes and are usually connected to these tubes by means of soldering.
- corrugated ribs it is known that the opposite ones Fold the longitudinal edges to give the corrugated fin greater stability.
- the object of the invention is to provide the ribs described in the preamble improve that the rib stability is further increased (for flat and corrugated ribs) and the deviations caused by the stretch remain in a negligible range, which should simplify the insertion of the heat exchanger tubes. (for flat fins) Manufacturing process should be characterized by simplicity and low cost.
- Wire is arranged in the free cross section of the folded edges.
- the wire is, for example, a copper wire if the rib is made of copper sheet
- the wire does not necessarily have to be made of the same metallic material as the rib, however, because of possible corrosion, it is advantageous if the same materials be used.
- the cross section of the wire is preferably round and the free cross section the edge is adapted to this round shape in order to preferably completely absorb the wire.
- One embodiment is characterized in that the wire cross section predominantly is enclosed by the edge. This has the advantage that with the same stability a narrower sheet metal strip can be used. Because such ribs are mass-produced acts, even seemingly small savings can lead to a significant effect.
- any other cross-sectional shape of the wire for example a quadrangular or polygonal wire, fulfills this same purpose.
- the length of the wire preferably extends over the entire length of the Rib.
- the diameter of the wire is preferably in the range between 0.2 to 0.5 mm.
- ribs The production of such ribs is very simple and can be done with minor changes on existing rib tools or on devices for rib production.
- the wire now causes the band to stretch and the resulting deviation is significantly smaller because of the wire or the two wires on the opposite edges of the rib, set the stretch of the rib a substantial resistance.
- the individual openings are in a stack of ribs aligned with higher accuracy than before in a straight line, so that the introduction of the Heat exchanger tubes much easier, with less effort and less quality problems, can be done.
- the wire improves the stability of the entire rib due to the higher stiffness in the edge area, to an extent such as a slight increase the sheet thickness, associated with higher costs, could never be achieved.
- only one edge of the rib can be formed with an enclosed wire his. In most cases, however, the two opposite longitudinal edges are the Rib have an enclosed wire.
- the wire gives the corrugated fin greater stability.
- Fig. 1 shows a rib tool 1, which is designed as a pair of rollers 2, the strip material 5 from the coil 4 in this case unwinds a thin copper sheet - and the coils 6 on which Copper wire 7 is 0.4mm thick.
- the wire ends are between the roller sets 13 or between the two-sided edge hem to be produced by means of the roller sets 13 introduced and enclosed in the folded edges 3 by means of the roller sets 13.
- Synchronous with the transport of the copper sheet strip 5 from the coil 4 the copper wire 7 is from his Coils 6 unwound by the pair of rollers 2 pulling the strip material 5 and the wire 7.
- the rib tool 1 right away behind the rib tool 1 or still within the tool 1 after the ribs 10 are fully completed, the same, along with the enclosed wires 7 cut off by means of a cutting tool 14.
- the wires 7 remain in the folded Edges 3 and stiffen the ribs 10 substantially. Furthermore, the strip material 5 is no longer so greatly stretched, whereby the accuracy of the distances 11 between the punched openings 12th the rib 10 has been increased.
- the rib tool 1 is a pair of rollers 2 in this case with which, as is well known, the openings 12 and cuts 13 are made in the flat ribs 10 become. However, it could also be a rib tool 1 for producing corrugated ribs. A corrugated fin 10 was therefore drawn symbolically at the left end of FIG. 1.
- the rib tool 1 is a punching tool. It goes without saying that in this case jacking rollers must also be provided.
- Fig. 2 shows an example of six different configurations of flat ribs 10, which are differ mainly in the arrangement of the openings 12.
- An education (above right) was provided with lamellar cuts 13.
- lamellar cuts 13 In all of these and other versions not shown there may be a wire 7 in the opposite folded edges 3.
- the section 3 -3 was drawn in the lower right figure of FIG. 2. Of course it could have been drawn in any of the other images.
- FIG 3 shows details of the arrangement of the wire 7 according to section 3 - 3 in the edge 3 in two variants A and B.
- the section 3-3 should only show the edge 3, in which the wire 7 is located. It is also understood here that both the edge 3 of a flat rib 10 and the edge of a Corrugated rib is meant.
- the wire 7 is completely enclosed by the edge hem
- the second variant B shows that it is also possible to narrow the edge hem form and the enclosure only over a predominant part of the circumference of the wire 7 to be provided.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to fins for heat exchangers with one or more rows of openings, through which the tubes of the heat exchanger extend (flat fins) or corrugated fins between the heat exchanger tubes are arranged, optionally with lamella cuts, for Increase in heat exchange as well as with folded edge, which has a free cross section in itself includes. A manufacturing method for such ribs is also described.
Such ribs are known from US Pat. No. 1,752,879 and US Pat. No. 4,592,420, the so-called Flat ribs are and otherwise have the features described. The opposite Longitudinal edges have not - like with other solutions - been folded over and pressed together, instead, as described, they enclose a free cross section, which is in the mentioned publications has approximately the shape of a drop. This edge training contributes to this in that the incoming cooling air jets are swirled more intensely and the efficiency of the heat exchange lift. It should also be associated with better rib stability. In the manufacture of such ribs, the material of the ribs, e.g. on extremely thin copper or aluminum tape is one when transported through the ribbed tool Is subjected to stretching, which, although it is in the elastic range, is not complete regresses. The amount of stretching of the material depends on various factors and can be quite different, so that taking this fact into account when building the ribbed tools is not always a satisfactory solution. This is about deviations in the distances between the individual openings through which the heat exchanger tubes will later pass extend, in the range of 0.01 mm, with a long row of openings (tubes) can already lead to the fact that the tubes of the heat exchanger are no longer or only very much difficult to insert into the openings of the stack of fins.
(z.B. EP 547 309 A1)Furthermore, so-called corrugated ribs are known, which are arranged between the heat exchanger tubes and are usually connected to these tubes by means of soldering. In the case of corrugated ribs, it is known that the opposite ones Fold the longitudinal edges to give the corrugated fin greater stability. (e.g. EP 547 309 A1)
From JP-A-60-018240 it is also known to have the opposite longitudinal edges of the rib U-shaped deformed strips reinforce to give the rib greater resistance to corrosion and to give higher strength. This fin has no openings through which the heat exchanger tubes must be put through. Therefore, with this solution, no reference to be given the solution to the problem mentioned above.
The object of the invention is to provide the ribs described in the preamble improve that the rib stability is further increased (for flat and corrugated ribs) and the deviations caused by the stretch remain in a negligible range, which should simplify the insertion of the heat exchanger tubes. (for flat fins) Manufacturing process should be characterized by simplicity and low cost.
Der Durchmesser des Drahtes liegt vorzugsweise im Bereich zwischen 0,2 bis 0,5 mm.According to the invention it is provided that in the free cross section of the folded edges Wire is arranged. The wire is, for example, a copper wire if the rib is made of copper sheet The wire does not necessarily have to be made of the same metallic material as the rib, however, because of possible corrosion, it is advantageous if the same materials be used. The cross section of the wire is preferably round and the free cross section the edge is adapted to this round shape in order to preferably completely absorb the wire. One embodiment is characterized in that the wire cross section predominantly is enclosed by the edge. This has the advantage that with the same stability a narrower sheet metal strip can be used. Because such ribs are mass-produced acts, even seemingly small savings can lead to a significant effect. Any other cross-sectional shape of the wire, for example a quadrangular or polygonal wire, fulfills this same purpose. The length of the wire preferably extends over the entire length of the Rib. The diameter of the wire is preferably in the range between 0.2 to 0.5 mm.
The production of such ribs is very simple and can be done with minor changes on existing rib tools or on devices for rib production. The More specifically, wire is placed between the set of rolls used for the edge forming, in the ones to be moved Edge hem of the rib enclosed by the upper and lower rollers is introduced. When the sheet metal strip is moved, the edge is gradually erected and folded over and tightly encloses the wire. The wire is continuously unwound from a coil. The finished ribs are cut off simultaneously with the wire. Because the metal strip by means of a pair of rollers or by means of separate driving rollers from a coil from and through the Roll sets are pulled through, a material expansion occurs, which is the cause of the deviations is the distance between the openings in the ribs. The wire now causes the band to stretch and the resulting deviation is significantly smaller because of the wire or the two wires on the opposite edges of the rib, set the stretch of the rib a substantial resistance. The individual openings are in a stack of ribs aligned with higher accuracy than before in a straight line, so that the introduction of the Heat exchanger tubes much easier, with less effort and less quality problems, can be done. In addition, the wire improves the stability of the entire rib due to the higher stiffness in the edge area, to an extent such as a slight increase the sheet thickness, associated with higher costs, could never be achieved.
According to the invention, only one edge of the rib can be formed with an enclosed wire his. In most cases, however, the two opposite longitudinal edges are the Rib have an enclosed wire.
With corrugated fins, the wire gives the corrugated fin greater stability.
