Correct presetting of the device will be achieved in one single operation.

After this the air flow is conventionally regulated with the actual actuating mechanism to obtain the desired temperature.

- the regulating unit comprises air flow regulators consisting of perforated plates 6, 7, having shiftable throttle plates 8, 9 on their surfaces.
- the throttle plates can be shifted by means of the actuating mechanism 10 as indicated by arrow 11 to regulate the air flow of the regulating unit.
- Presetting devices 12 for the air conditioner are provided between the throttle plates 8, 9 and the actuating mechanism 10. By presetting the throttle plates 8 and 9, the free area of the perforated plates 6 and 7 can be adjusted so as to comply with the desired maximum ratio of pressure to air flow.
