Description

The invention relates to a strain relief device for modular systems with modular Connector parts, in particular socket and plug parts, with locking elements can be latched in a module-holding frame, according to the preamble of the claim 1.

Module connectors are known in the art in various forms. US 5,411,413 shows a plug with a plurality of terminal chambers, the each having a plurality of crimp terminals.

Dazu umfassen die Leisten Vorsprünge, welche in entsprechende Ausnehmungen der Module einfassen.DE 298 12 500 shows a modular connector system with a socket and a plug part, each having a base frame, with a cross-section essentially U-shaped recess for receiving at least one with Plug contacts provided individual module is provided. The illustrated in this document Connector system is further provided with a support frame, the longitudinal Has frame bars and contains several modules, each one to a first longitudinal edge of the frame strips are supported. These are locking elements provided, which are latching or clamped to the modules mountable and block them at a second longitudinal edge opposite the first longitudinal edge. The locking elements are formed by strips that extend over several Extend modules and attack on each of these modules. These include the last Projections which enclose in corresponding recesses of the modules.

The module support frame can theoretically also for receiving socket and Stekkerteilen serve, which put together in the module holding frame in the manner of a connector become. From the prior art it is also known for the provide strain relief devices to the connector parts, which are locked to the module support frame or connector.

Based on this prior art, the invention sets in recognizing the Possibility to use the strain relief device for modular systems with modular Further develop connector parts such that they are particularly simple Handling also the connector parts allowed.

The invention therefore provides the subject matter of claim 1. The invention sets at the idea of using the strain relief device not only for strain relief but also so easy to arrange on the module holding frame that the Ent- and locking the strain relief device on the module not only the strain relief the connector parts secures, but these in their handling with the module-holding frame locked and unlocked. These are the locking means of the attachment element formed so that they both with the locking means of the module-holding frame as well as with the locking elements of the connector part so cooperate, that the attachment element and the connector part on the module holding frame can be locked and unlocked together.

According to a variant of the invention, the attachment element lever-like, in the composite Condition of the module locking device on the connector pivotally mounted pivot arms, which with the locking means for Locking and unlocking of the attachment element and the connector part on the module holding frame are provided. In this way, a combined strain relief and locking device, which provides the handling of the connector or the locking and unlocking of the connector part on the module holding frame decisively simplified.

A particularly easy to produce and therefore cost-effective embodiment of the invention Strain relief device is characterized in that the locking means the pivot arms are designed as latching hooks which are connected to the Module holding frame facing ends of the pivot arms are.

Preferably, the latching hooks of the pivot arms are formed such that they formed in the assembled state on the connectors locking hooks with undercuts behind (or outside embrace) and with these together in recesses for the attachment of the female or male part to the module holding frame intervention. When placing the strain relief on the Connector part are the locking hooks of the pivot arms on the connector part fixed by the engagement behind the latching hook of the connector part. When squeezed The swing arms then become the snap hooks of the connector parts moved with the pivot arms, so that by moving the pivot arms the Connector part and the strain relief device together from the module holding frame be solved.

For easier handling, it is expedient if the pivot arms at their from Module holding frame opposite end have recessed grips.

According to a further preferred variant of the invention, it is also advantageous if the pivot arms are secured by means of spring legs on the attachment element, that they are automatically pivoted by the spring force in its locking position are.

Further advantageous embodiments of the invention are the remaining dependent claims refer to.

1 shows a connector module with a plug part 2 and a socket part 4, each having an approximately rectangular cross-section and by means of lateral Latch hooks 6 can be latched in lateral openings 8 of a module holding frame 10.

At their end remote from the module holding frame 10 end areas are on the two Connector parts 2, 4 each strain relief 12 placed.

The one-piece formed from plastic strain relief devices 12 are after Fig. 2 as on the connector parts 2, 4 slidable - in cross-section substantially formed U-shaped attachment elements, each having a base wall 14, wherein the two lateral legs of the U of swivel and spring arms 16, 18 are formed. The pivot arms 16 are in the module holding frame 10th remote from the region of the strain relief device via the spring arms 18 with the Base wall 14 or with perpendicular to the base wall 14 corner webs 19 connected. The spring arms 18 are connected to the corner webs 19 in the module holding frame 10 opposite ends of the base wall 14 integrally formed and extend from there to the approach area of the support legs 20 on the inner walls of the Swing arms 16.

In the assembled state are outside to the end edges of the module-holding frame 10 to the pivot arms 16 inwardly support legs 20 integrally formed, the are pressed on webs 22 when squeezing the pivot arms 16, which are formed on the base wall 14, stand vertically on this and upper hooks 24, which surround the connector 2, 4 and against displacement to back up. In addition to this displacement protection contributes to the formation of a grading 26 (see Fig. 2) in the base wall 14 at, in each case the housing of the connector parts 2, 4 abut.

From the outsides of the gradations 26 further webs 28 extend vertically to the top, which are connected to the pivot arms 16 in the upper area. At the front ends of the pivot arms are inwardly extending latching hooks 30 with undercuts 32 formed, which when pushing the strain relief device on one of the connector parts 2, 4 overlap the latching hooks 6. At the same time, the housing of the connector part sets in the gradation 16 as well to the webs 22. By the interaction of gradation 16, webs 22, hooks 24 and swing arm latch hook 30, the connector part 2, 4 at the strain relief device set and locked. In addition, the webs 28 attach themselves to the Outer walls of the housing of the plug connector 2, 4 and form an axis of rotation for the pivot lever 16, which faces away from the latching hook ends with recessed grips 34 are provided. This will be at a compression of the two opposing pivot arms 16a, 16b of a strain relief device 12 each not only the locking hooks 30 of the pivot arms 16 moves outward but at the same time integrally formed on webs 35 latch hooks 6 of the connector parts 2, 4.

In this way it is possible without additional tools simply by pressing the pivot arms 16 and the latching hooks 6 of the connector parts with outward to Pull, so that strain relief device together by squeezing the pivot arms 16 are released from the openings 8 of the module holding frame. To lock the two elements (16 and 2 or 4), it is only necessary, the Strain relief device 12 and the connector part 2, 4 together in the module-holding frame 10, so that the latching hooks 6, 30 by spring force in common be pressed into the opening 8.

To grant the strain relief function is the base wall 14 with five adjacent Openings 36 for the passage of (not shown here) cable mounting straps for strain relief of a connector part led electrical conductor (also not shown here) provided. Between the openings are corrugations 38 to increase the friction between the conductor and the Base wall 14 and thus designed to improve the strain relief function.

Gut zu erkennen sind auf den Modul-Halterahmen 10 aufgeschobene Montagewinkel 40 mit einer Aufnahmenut 42 für eine schwalbenschwanzartige Führungsschiene 44 am Modul-Halterahmen 10.Fig. 3 illustrates the invention with reference to various perspective views a connector module with strain relief device 12, wherein here no spring arms 18 for connecting the pivot arms 16 to the base wall 14th are provided and the support legs 20 at the same time as a pivot bearing for the pivoting movements serve the pivot arms 16. Good to see are on the module support frame 10 deferred mounting bracket 40 with a receiving groove 42 for a Dovetail guide rail 44 on the module holding frame 10th
