Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method for manufacturing of a long fiber reinforced component that is a matrix material with at least one group embedded in it essentially coated with matrix material parallel long fibers.
Greater stability for components with lower weight to lend it is generally known in the components Embed fibers. Depending on the choice of material for the fiber, the thermal expansion is also reduced and the temperature resistance of the fiber-reinforced Component increased. The fiber reinforcement material expediently consists of with a Fibers coated with matrix material; this has the advantage that neighboring fibers do not touch but rather from a material, the matrix material are surrounded. Preferably used as the matrix material Titanium based alloys are used while the fiber itself consists of silicon carbide (SiC). As part of this Invention with the term "fiber" is a monofiber meant, which consists of fiber material inside and has a coating of matrix material on the outside.
Diese Nachbearbeitung ist in der Regel sehr schwierig und kostenintensiv.DE 43 35 557 C1 describes a method for manufacturing known from long fiber reinforced components, in which in a workpiece made of, in particular, matrix material, a cavity is introduced, which is then by individual side by side and essentially parallel to each other running long fibers is filled. After encapsulation of the workpiece thus prepared or after closure the access to the cavity is hot isostatic Pressing process in which the workpiece is extremely exposed to high temperatures and pressures. Here the component or workpiece deforms because of the gaps closed between the individual fibers become. This is postprocessing in any case of the workpiece is required to ultimately Manufacture the component with the desired outer contour can. This post processing is usually very difficult and expensive.
Aber auch bei diesem bekannten Verfahren besteht der Nachteil darin, daß der mit den fasergefüllten Röhrchen versehene Formkörper beim heißisostatischen Preßvorgang relativ starken Schrumpfungen ausgesetzt ist.DE 29 15 412 C2 describes a method for manufacturing a molded body made of fiber-reinforced metal material known in which a prefabricated in a cavity Tube is used that is parallel to each other individual fibers is filled. But also with this well-known The disadvantage of this method is that the molded bodies provided with the fiber-filled tubes relatively strong during the hot isostatic pressing process Is exposed to shrinkage.
The invention has for its object a method to manufacture a long fiber reinforced component create, with which the component without significant Manufacture post-treatments close to the contour and dimensionally stable leaves.
- the component with essentially the desired outer contour is made of in particular matrix material,
- at least one cavity which has a predeterminable shape is formed in the component thus produced and is accessible from outside the component
- at least one prefabricated long fiber reinforced reinforcing element is introduced into the at least one cavity and
- the component together with at least one reinforcing element is subjected to a hot isostatic pressing process.
In the method according to the invention, the fiber to be reinforced Component with the desired one Outer contour made of a metal material, in particular which is preferably the matrix material, manufactured. Then this is already close to the contour manufactured and still without fiber reinforcement provided component introduced at least one cavity. This cavity is accessible from outside the component, namely, in it a long fiber reinforced reinforcing element bring in. This reinforcing element is prefabricated according to the invention and exists from the matrix material of the long fiber coating, in that the long fibers are embedded. This pre-made Reinforcing element is then with the component hot isostatically pressed. Now that before the hot isostatic Pressing process possibly still remaining Cavities solely on the very small space between the reinforcing element and the component reduce, is in the manufactured according to the invention Component after the hot isostatic pressing process hardly any change in shape or shrinkage of the Component to observe. So this is particularly important no post-processing of the component to make this the to give the desired outer contour. An editing of the component is only in the areas of or the accesses to the at least one cavity are required. Because with the hot isostatic pressing process must the component or those still remaining in it Open spaces or spaces must be evacuated so that these Free spaces between the hot isostatic Pressing process of matrix material or fibers filled are.
By using prefabricated long fiber reinforced So it is reinforcing elements made of matrix material possible according to the invention, the component before hot isostatic pressing process its desired outer contour to rent. This can be used for neighboring work steps to be dispensed with. The advantage is that manufacturing techniques, such as casting, Form milling or shell technology can be used which are much less expensive than in the case in which the component is only after the hot isostatic Pressing process is processed. According to the invention Achieving advantage of the extremely low shrinkage of the hot isostatically pressed component makes it possible the component before the fiber reinforcement is introduced to give the desired outer contour, with manufacturing techniques for creating the component can be used with the desired outer contour, which are much cheaper than machining a fiber-reinforced workpiece, around this one to give the desired outer contour.
In an advantageous development of the invention, that the cavity due to spark erosion in particular or introduced by drilling from outside the component becomes. Drilling can be done on chemical or mechanical techniques can be used. In particular the cavities extend straighter Lines and step on one side (blind hole formation) or on two opposite sides of the component (through hole) out of it. In the case of rectilinearly aligned cavities, these are Reinforcing elements, the cross section of which is the same Cross section of the cavities is rod-shaped. Here are round, but also polygonal rods conceivable.
While one extends through the component Cavity whose access via the front Ends, can be closed on all sides Cavity these are accessed by that the component is in two parts, for example has two halves. The matrix material without Fiber reinforced component is for example divided into two parts or these two Parts are manufactured separately, then to the component to be put together. The cavity will either introduced in one of the two or in both parts. In the latter case, the Cavity then through both component halves.
The "access" to such a cavity can for example than along the adjacent interfaces of the component halves are viewed in an extended manner. By welding the two component halves or of the two parts of the component, the cavity or which is between the reinforcing element and the component halves resulting free space or space closed become.
The gas-tight closure of the access takes place in particular by electron beam welding. This welding technique can only be done in vacuum become. Exactly a vacuum is needed, however the remaining free spaces between the reinforcing element and to evacuate the rest of the component.

Fig. 1 zeigt als Beispiel eines langfaserverstärkten
Bauteils eine Fanschaufel 10, die mit einer Vielzahl
von stabförmigen langfaserverstärkten Verstärkungselementen
12 (nachfolgend faserverstärkte Stäbe genannt)
versehen ist. Die faserverstärkten Stäbe 12 erstrecken
sich von der Schaufelspitze 14 bis zum Schaufelfuß
16 geradlinig durch die Fanschaufel 10 hindurch.
Die faserverstärkten Stäbe 12 sind als vorgefertigte
Verstärkungselemente in in die Fanschaufel eingebrachte
Hohlräume 18 eingebracht worden und füllen diese im
fertig hergestellten Zustand der Fanschaufel 10 gänzlich
aus. Wie beispielsweise in Fig. 7 zu erkennen ist,
sind in das Material 20 der faserverstärkten Stäbe 12
zueinander parallele Langfasern 22 eingebettet (s. auch
Fig. 2). Die Herstellung dieser Verstärkungselemente 12
erfolgt beispielsweise dadurch, daß die mit einem
Matrixmaterial beschichteten Langfasern 22 in ein Rohr
bzw.
Schrumpfung bzw. Formveränderung zu verzeichnen.Fig. 1 shows an example of a long fiber reinforced

Fig. 6).

Außenkontur in Guß-Technik, Schalen-Technik
oder durch Formfräsen herzustellen. In jedem Fall hier
Fig. 8 shows the situation after the hot isostatic
Pressing process. The gaps are created by this
