Description

The invention relates to a device for stretching and tensioning a weft thread for a jet loom according to the preamble of claim 1 and a loom with such a device.

In DE-A-32 00 637 a jet loom with a weft detector and with a tensioning device for stretching and holding a weft yarn to a stop is described. This device has a body with a half-open recess, whose one boundary surface has an air inlet opening and whose other boundary surface has an air outlet opening. The two openings are opposite each other and are connected to an air supply line or to an air suction, so that in the recess transversely to the firing direction, an air flow can be generated. By this air flow, the end portion of a weft thread to be entered is detected after passing through the thread monitor and deflected into the Luftabsaugleltung.

A disadvantage proves in these devices that only a directed air jet is provided for thread deflection.
From JP-A-6-43 / 88, a device is known in which a nozzle is laterally displaceable, but only to select a place of work within the reed, but not to influence the jet. Further, the nozzle is pivotable in the weft direction to interrupt the suction and not to deflect the weft in the suction channel, but dissipate along the firing channel.

The object of the invention is to improve a device for stretching and tensioning a weft thread.

This object is achieved by the features of claim 1.

The invention has the advantages that the nozzle on the one hand generates two jets of air, which form an air curtain and that the nozzle on the other hand is adjustable with respect to the channel. As a result, a thread deflection is ensured regardless of the type of thread and held the weft safely stretched.

The invention will be explained with reference to the accompanying drawings.

On the catching side of a loom, a reed 1 with a guide channel 2 for a weft thread, a weft thread guard 3 and a device 4 of the type in question are arranged downstream in the weft direction.

Reference is made to FIGS. 2 to 4. As shown in Fig. 4, the apparatus 4 includes a nozzle holder 5 and a nozzle 6 mounted on the nozzle holder. The nozzle holder 5 has a through hole 8 which forms a channel for receiving a weft thread 9 and a projection 10 which has a slotted hole for receiving the nozzle 6. The nozzle 6 consists of a body 11, which has a rectangular-like cross-section with parallel longitudinal sides and rounded narrow sides (Figure 2) and a cylindrical projection 12. In the nozzle, a blind bore 13 and two nozzle holes 14 are formed, which are arranged parallel to each other and open out in the rounded side. The nozzle is rotatably mounted in the holder and secured by a screw, not shown. As a result, a half-open recess 15 is formed, which is aligned with the guide channel 2. The nozzle 6 is connected to a conduit 16 for supplying air.

Bei der ersten Ausführungsform der Vorrichtung wird in vorteilhafter Weise diese Abstimmung der Luftströme durch Schwenken der Düse 6 und damit des erzeugten Luftvorhanges erleichtert ( Fig.3).2, the nozzle 6 is shown in a position in which, analogously to the prior art, the nozzle holes are aligned with the channel. Due to the cutting air jets occur the known problems. If the conveying air flow for the weft thread stronger than air flow from the nozzle 6, the weft thread 9 is not deflected correctly and tense. If the air flow from the nozzle 6 is stronger, the conveying air flow for the weft yarn is deflected even before reaching the device. Thus, the intersecting air currents are matched, which is very expensive. In the first embodiment of the device, this tuning of the air streams by pivoting the nozzle 6 and thus the generated air curtain is facilitated in an advantageous manner (Figure 3).

As FIG. 7 shows, in this device a nozzle holder 21 is subdivided into a base body 22 with the channel 8 and a plate-shaped holding element 23 for the nozzle 6. The holding element 23 is provided with the slotted bore, in which the nozzle 6 is arranged and fastened by means of a screw 26 on the base body. As shown in FIG. 7, the holding element 23 is arranged so that on the one hand the half-open recess 15 is formed and on the other hand, the nozzle orifices of the nozzle 6 is aligned with the mouth of the channel 8. In the position according to FIG. 5, the problems explained above occur, which, however, are remedied by displacing the nozzle 6 according to FIG. 6, the second embodiment of the device is arranged so that on the one hand, the half-open recess is formed and on the other hand, the nozzle orifices of the nozzle 6 are offset to the mouth of the channel 8 against the weft direction.

As already mentioned, the nozzle holes 14 are arranged parallel to one another. If the nozzle 6 supplied air, an air curtain is generated by means of the nozzle holes 14. This air curtain extends transversely to the conveying air flow for a weft thread. Through this air curtain, the conveying air flow for the weft thread and thus also the weft yarn is pushed to the channel mouth and directed into the channel B in the first place. As a result, the weft thread is advantageously kept stretched and stretched both by the airflow out of the nozzle and by the conveying air flow for the weft thread. The device has a nozzle holder (5) with a channel (8) for receiving a weft thread and a nozzle (6) with nozzle holes (14) for stretching and tensioning the weft thread. The nozzle (6) is mounted on the nozzle holder, such that the nozzle with respect to the weft direction is adjustable, in particular pivotable or displaceable. With this device, the optimum adjustment of the intersecting air jets is facilitated in an advantageous manner and regardless of the type of yarn ensures a deflection of the weft thread (9) and kept the weft safely stretched.
