Obermessern 3 sowie mit diesen zusammenwirkenden Untermessern 4 auf.
Die Obermesser 3 sind relativ zu den Untermessern 4 in Richtung des Doppelpfeils
6 vertikal sowie in Richtung des Doppelpfeils 7 entlang einer Quertraverse 8 horizontal
anstellbar.
Die die Obermesser aufnehmende Quertraverse 8 ist an einem längs der Bahnlaufrichtung
1 der Materialbahn 2 auf Führungsbahnen 9 bis gegen einen Anschlag 11
verschiebbaren Schlitten 12 angeordnet und in ihrer Ausgangsstellung durch eine
Verriegelungseinrichtung 13 an einem Distanzanschlag 14 fixiert.
Die den Schlitten 12 aufnehmenden Führungsbahnen 9 sind in Richtung des Doppelpfeils
16 um eine quer zur Bahnlaufrichtung 1 verlaufende Achse 17 mittels eines
Hubantriebes 18 verschwenkbar.
Die Untermesser 4 sind formatbestimmt auf einer gemeinsamen Messerwelle 19
angeordnet, welche auf einer Seite an einer Maschinenwand 21 von einer relativ
langen zweifachen Antriebslagerung 22, 23 aufgenommen und durch einen Riemenantrieb
24 angetrieben wird. Auf der Gegenseite wird die Messerwelle 19 von

Die Handhabung des Längsschneiders zur Vorbereitung auf einen Formatwechsel
ist wie folgt:
Ausgehend von den Figuren 1 a und 2 a, in denen sich der Längsschneider in der
Arbeitsposition befindet, wird gemäß den Figuren 1 b und 2 b zunächst durch Aktivierung
des Hubantriebs 18 der auf den Führungsbahnen 9 gelagerte Schlitten 12
mitsamt den auf der Quertraverse 8 angeordneten Obermessern 3 um die Achse 17
nach oben geschwenkt. Anschließend wird die Verriegelungseinrichtung 13 gelöst
und der Schlitten 12 gemäß Figur 1 c aus dem Arbeitsbereich nach hinten gegen
den Anschlag 11 verschoben. Damit ist die freie Zugänglichkeit der unteren Messerwelle
19 gegeben, deren Stützlager 27 gemäß Figur 2 c abgenommen werden
kann, da die einseitige zweifache Antriebslagerung 22, 23 eine sichere fliegende
Lagerung der Messerwelle 19 gewährleistet. Dadurch können die einzelnen Untermesser
4 nacheinander axial von der Messerwelle 19 abgenommen werden, wonach
deren Neubestückung in umgekehrter Reihenfolge der genannten Handhabungsschritte
vorgenommen werden kann.
Nach dem Herunterschwenken und Zurückfahren des Schlittens 12 in die Ausgangsposition
erfolgt in üblicher Weise die formatabhängige Messereinstellung der
