Abstract

Liquid dispensing apparatus (10) and methods for dispensing pressurized liquid including the use of a pressure relief and bypass valve (30). The liquid dispensing apparatus (10) may include a pump (12) operatively connected to a liquid reservoir (14) and one or more liquid dispensers (18). A pressure relief and bypass valve (30) is generally connected between an outlet of the pump (30) and the liquid dispenser (18) for providing both a pressure relief function and a bypass cleaning or flushing function. The bypass function helps prevent contaminants from lodging or accumulating within the valve (30).
