Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a gun barrel with an axial longitudinally adjustable adapter for changing the volume of the Cargo space.
From DE-PS 1 243 052 a gun barrel is known with which Cartridges with propellant charge casings of different dimensions, but can be fired with the same bullet caliber. The adaptation of the cargo space to the different Propellant charge casings take place in a casing tube exchangeable core tube (adapter), which the Cargo space of the gun barrel limited on the front.
The disadvantage of this known gun barrel is that with a change in the dimensions of the propellant charge sleeve used in each case also a relatively time-consuming change of the Soul tube is connected.
The invention has for its object a gun barrel of the type mentioned at the beginning, in the simple Way the dimensions of the cargo space on the propellant charge case the cartridge to be fired can be adjusted without having to replace the core tube must become.
This object is solved by the features of
Essentially, the invention is based on the idea of Cargo space at least two axially one behind the other Provide sub-rooms that have a truncated cone Transition are interconnected. The caliber part of the Gun barrel adjacent first sub-space has a smaller one Diameter on than the second subspace and is on the Dimensions of a first propellant charge sleeve of a corresponding one Adapted cartridge, the sleeve bottom is in the area of supports frustoconical transition. The second room when using cartridges with the first cartridge case filled out by the adapter.
The whole of the two sub-rooms and the frustoconical Existing cargo space is also connected to the Dimensions of a compared to the first propellant charge sleeve adapted larger second propellant charge sleeve, so that with the gun barrel according to the invention at least two cartridges different propellant charge casings can be fired.
When using cartridges with the first cartridge case it has proven to be advantageous if the respective Adapter in its front area at least two evenly pivoting spring claws distributed over the circumference having the sleeve bottom in the first subspace reach behind the loaded cartridge from the front. Thereby After the shot has been fired, it is easy to empty Cartridge case by means of the usual ejection mechanism the breech of the corresponding weapon pull out the cargo space.
So that the adapter is as light as possible, it has also proven advantageous to use it as a hollow body with a central e.g. train tubular support member. In the central support part, depending on Art the ignition of the first cartridge type, an firing pin extension or an ignition current transmission device is arranged.

In Figure 1, 1 is a gun barrel for firing cartridges
with e.g. combustible or partially combustible propellant charge case
designated. The
Zum Verschießen leistungsstarker Patronen 9, die üblicherweise
eine große Treibladung benötigen, ist die entsprechende
Treibladungshülse 10 derart aufgebaut, daß sie den gesamten
Ladungsraum 2 ausfüllt (Fig.2). Die Positionierung der Patrone
9 in Längsrichtung erfolgt über den kegelstumpfförmigen
Übergang 8 zwischen den beiden Teilräumen 4 und 5. Der Hülsenboden
11 der Patrone 9 stützt sich heckseitig an einer
gestrichelt dargestellten Verschlußplatte 12 des aus Übersichtlichkeitsgründen
nicht dargestellten Verschlusses des
Geschützes ab.For firing
rohrseitigen Aufnahme zwecks Abdichtung sichergestellt. For firing lower-performance cartridges (e.g. from in
Stocks of existing older cartridges) or less expensive

Ammunition) are the diameter 6 and the length 13 (Fig.1) of the

(Fig.4 und 5).
In the front area of the
To eject the
The invention is of course not based on the above described embodiment limited. So can for example, the cargo space also consists of more than two sub-spaces Assemble, if cartridges with more than two Propellant charge shells of different dimensions shot should be. As a rule, the entire cargo space for the cartridge case of the most powerful cartridge and the propellant charge cases filling only part of the rooms for cartridges with lower power (often in depot stocks still stocked older cartridges, which also with newer weapons should be fired) or for cheaper ones Practice cartridges used.
Furthermore, instead of the ignition current transmission device in the Adapter a firing pin extension can also be provided, if the corresponding cartridge is not electric, but is ignited mechanically using a firing pin.
