Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a base to be mounted on the lower part of a furniture, according to the preamble of claim 1.

As is known, among the various elements which constitute a piece of furniture of the so-called integrated type, there is the base which has the function of covering the lower part of the assembled furniture.

The bases of normal manufacture consist of a form strip rectangular with internal hooks suitable for anchoring on the support legs for the various components of the cabinet.

When the floor is tilted, even only slightly, or when it has asperities, the base, being constituted by a rigid body, follows the shape of the ground or that of the base of the furniture, with formation resulting from a slit between the base and the base or between the base and the floor, with a negative aesthetic effect.

The object of the invention is to provide a base to be applied to integrated furniture such as as kitchens, cupboards and the like, which adapts to different inclinations of the floor without creating unsightly slits, always keeping in perfect contact too well with the inclined floor than with the base of the furniture.

This is achieved in accordance with the characteristics of the characterizing part of the claim 1.

It is expected that the base comprises two parts, divided longitudinally and separated from each other, between which elastic elements of compensation.

These characteristics of the invention as well as others will be described below in detail, with reference, only for illustrative purposes and not limiting to the plates of attached drawings, where:

As can be seen in the Figures, the base 1 placed in the lower part 2 of the piece of furniture and anchored to it by means of hooks 3 which mate with the support legs 4 of this piece of furniture, includes two elements separated from each other and, more specifically, an upper element 5 and a lower element 6. Between these two elements elastic bodies 7 are interposed, the whole being enclosed in a lamellar template 8 which plays the role of housing said movable lower element 6.

As it is easy to see from the Figures, the elastic elements 7, preferably made up of springs provided two in number and placed in housings arranged in opposite manner on the two elements 5 and 6, have the function of compensate for the possible inclination of the ground, since they bring on the one hand the element upper 5 to always keep in contact with the lower part or base of the cabinet, which is horizontal, and on the other hand the lower element 6 to always be placed in contact with the ground, sometimes slightly inclined.

We can therefore deduce from the above that by means of the conformation of the base according to the invention, it is possible without difficulty to achieve the aims set out above, by carrying out thus a perfect closing of the furniture, even when the floor is not perfectly horizontal, with positive aesthetic results.

Naturally, it is possible to provide different construction solutions to adapt to different types of elastic elements existing on the market, in retaining a base comprising two elements separated from each other, between which are two or more of two elastic compensating devices.

Claims (6)

Base to be mounted on the lower part of a piece of furniture, in particular of fitted kitchen or other similar furniture, said base (1) being characterized in that it comprises two distinct elements (5, 6), namely an upper element (5) in contact with the lower base (2) of the cabinet, and a lower element (6) placed in contact with the ground, however, between the two elements (5,6) are inserted elastic bodies (7) which determine the mutual distance between said two upper elements (5) and lower (6). Base according to claim 1, characterized in that the lower element (6) of the base is mobile and removable. Base according to claims 1 and 2, characterized in that the two elements (5, 6) are enclosed in a lamellar template (8) having the function of housing and guide of the movable lower element (6). Base according to one or more of Claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the upper element (5) is always horizontal, while the lower element (6) is adapted to follow the shape of the ground, even if it is not perfectly horizontal. Base according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized by fact that the elastic bodies (7), provided at least two in number, are placed in opposite guide housings provided on the body of the two aforementioned elements (5, 6). Base according to one or more of the preceding claims, characterized by the elastic body (7) comprises a pre-stressed helical spring capable of holding the lower element (6) always in contact with the ground.
