Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a sealing element for sealing the Transition of a melt channel leading a polymer melt assembled component in a melt channel of a removable, replaceable component. The fixed component is preferred a spinning beam and the replaceable component a nozzle adapter Melt spinning system.
In spinning systems for spinning polymer melts, between the heating vessel, also called the spinning beam, and the individual spinning package used for coupling adapters or nozzle adapters so that each individual spin pack for cleaning and reassembly of the Spin pack items can be easily replaced. For sealing the melt channel, which passes from the spinning beam into the adapter, metal O-rings are usually used in front grooves so that the Spinning operating pressure of a minimum of 80 to a maximum of 350 bar depending on the polymer at spinning temperatures of over 150 ° C up to a maximum of 320 ° C not too Leakage of the polymer melt leads. The counter surfaces must, if the Adapters themselves are changed more often, from impressive ones Materials exist, e.g. B. in the form of a welded Stellite armor to ensure tightness even during long periods of operation guarantee. So that the metal O-rings during assembly of the adapter do not fall out, they are glued into the front grooves. Furthermore are these not exactly cheap sealing rings only for one time Intended use and must be replaced each time the adapter is changed.
Particularly frequent adapter changes occur in spinning processes, a static mixer for homogenizing the melt if possible just before the spinneret. This mixer is then usually because of process-related changes or must be cleaned regularly, housed in the adapter.
The assembly problem is that the spinning system at Initial assembly cold, d. H. at normal room temperature, assembled is, however, the change of the adapter with or without mixer in the hot Operating state must go. It happens so that it is too changing component, here the nozzle adapter, is hot removed and is replaced by a fresh and cold component. This does not apply only the said nozzle adapters with or without a mixer, but in general all components with polymer melt leading lines with any additional accessories that are changed more often must be equipped.
A similar application is disclosed in US Pat. No. 5,720,995 Injection molding technology in which the thermal expansion coefficient of the Construction material is known. The The distance between the feed head and the spray head fluctuates due to the heat balanced by a sliding connector, which with its short end screwed into the feed head and with its long end is slidably inserted in the bore in the spray head. The fit between the connector and the bore and the Material pairing, a copper-beryllium alloy for the Connector and normal steel for the spray head are like this chosen that even at operating temperature a shift of long connector end in the hole to compensate for the varying distance between the feed head and spray head take place can. Only the narrow and long gap between is used for sealing Connector and hole used. Between the end of the long Part of the connector and the end of the hole must naturally there is enough space for the sliding and expansion movement can take place. This room represents an extension of the normal Melt channel up to the outer diameter of the connector and forms a so-called dead space in which the polymer is only can exchange insufficiently. This undefined dwell time, which at Degradation of the polymer is absolutely harmful to the spinning process. Any leaks are also undesirable. In addition, assembly and Disassembly only possible when cold, which extends the service life by correspondingly long cooling phase of the device is shortened.
The object of the invention is therefore to provide a sealing element To make available a frequent component change enables inexpensive, comfortable conditions and at the same time a secure sealing guaranteed.
Material des auswechselbaren Bauteils 12.According to the invention, this object is achieved by a
Sealing element, which is characterized in that it is made of
a cylindrical and externally smooth
According to the invention, a cylindrical and externally smooth hollow body is used an axial hole for the melt to pass into a suitable one Location hole of the replaceable component is flush with the face. The fit of the components is chosen so that the hollow body at usual room temperature easily into the cavity of the replaceable Component can slide in. The hollow body must always be in the part be housed, which must be removable or removable. A protrusion of the hollow body in the other, opposing component is not required and also not desirable as it is for disassembly in hot condition would be a hindrance. The contact surfaces of the two components to be sealed do not need any additional components Sealing grooves or other baffles as sealing aids, but can be carried out completely flat and smooth.
The hollow body must be made of a material with a higher Coefficients of thermal expansion exist than that of the one bearing it Part. After heating up the cold installed component and the said hollow body occurs up to the operating temperature, the axial and radial sealing effect. The sealing function is done by the different thermal expansion of the parts joined together reached. Because the hollow body is only in the interchangeable Component is embedded, this component can also be hot Dismantle the condition of the fixed component and by a another still cold component with flush to the sealing surface replace recessed hollow body.
The sealing concept according to the invention of the different Thermal expansion is particularly suitable for melt spinning systems, however also for other purposes, such as B. diameter adjustments in the Melt line or branches and injector connections, and is particularly advantageous for all applications in which melt-carrying parts are mounted cold but also hot must be removable.
A particularly preferred application are melt spinning systems with Melt channels, where the mixer is as close as possible to the spinneret must be used, but also where mixers in other places in accessible to the melt line or quickly exchangeable should be.
Usually static mixers are selected so that the free one Cross section corresponds to the cable cross section.
The material of the nozzle adapter is usually stainless
and heat resistant chrome steel, such as. B. the X 20
Without an integrated mixer, the hollow body can be very short, however the length should not be less than half the outer diameter be carried out. A diameter to length ratio of is optimal 1: 1. When mixers are used, the length of the cladding tube or Hollow body determined by the length of the mixer, the Upper limit from the dimensions of the load-bearing interchangeable component results. The outer diameter of the hollow body is preferably 1.5 to 2.0 times the largest inside diameter of the melt channels or the melt-carrying bore through the hollow body. This hole is, provided the two melt channels to be sealed on the Transition plane have the same diameter, cylindrical. The hollow body according to the invention is in addition to it Sealing function also for adapting various Suitable cable diameter. In this case the hole is, at least partially, according to the different diameters, conical executed.
The cladding tube according to the invention not only makes it expensive Sealing elements saved, but also easily Adaptations to different line diameters as well as any and allows quick change of static mixers.

Pressung bei Erwärmung auf Betriebstemperatur erfolgt.1 is a section of a fixedly mounted
Schmelzekanälen 17 und 18 zirkulierenden Polymerschmelze standzuhalten.2 shows an example of a general inventive
Sealing application shown. A
