- Avec ce type d'entonnoir ou de dispositif, la manipulation n'est pas aisée puisqu'il faut d'abord remplir de sel l'entonnoir.
- Puis placer le dispositif sur l'embouchure de remplissage du lave-vaisselle.
- Dans ces conditions, il est difficile de remplir l'entonnoir sans renverser de sel
- il est encore plus difficile de ne pas renverser de sel lors de la manipulation délicate de mise en place du dispositif sur l'embouchure de remplissage à sel du lave-vaisselle, surtout si le lave-vaisselle est plein
- ce qui n'est ni pratique, ni facile pour l'utilisateur
- l'utilisateur ne peut donc pas contrôler efficacement et savoir combien de sel, il a réellement mis dans le récipient du lave-vaisselle.

- une trappe de retenue (3) reliée à un organe, de sorte à retenir le sel dans une première position (4) de l'organe de commande et à libérer le passage du sel dans une deuxième position(5);
- enfin un opercule (8) obturant ladite partie évasée supérieure (1).
