Abstract

Des tentatives visant à la reproduction d'un son fidèle par des systèmes de haut-parleurs ont conduit à l'élaboration d'enceintes souvent grandes, relativement compliquées et chères, notamment pour la reproduction du son dans les basses fréquences acoustiques. Une solution simple à ce problème réside dans un ensemble haut-parleur comprenant un boîtier divisé par une cloison, afin de former une chambre contenant un haut-parleur et une chambre de sortie du son. Cette dernière contient une boîte de sortie du son, située à distance d'une ouverture ménagée dans la cloison et reliant la chambre du haut-parleur à la chambre de sortie du son. Un conduit de sortie du son s'étend à travers la boîte et une paroi du boîtier. L'intérieur de la boîte et au moins une portion de la zone entourant celle-ci sont remplis de sable ou d'un autre matériau solide, afin d'éliminer les vibrations ou d'au moins réduire celles-ci à un minimum.
