Abstract

Offenbart ist eine Elektrode, die einen ersten Schenkel 10, zumindest einen zweiten Schenkel 20 und einen Bogen 30, der den ersten Schenkel 10 mit dem zweiten Schenkel 20 verbindet, aufweist. Der Bogen 30 weist dabei zumindest zwei voneinander elektrisch isolierte Teilbögen 31 auf, die sich jeweils in Richtung von dem ersten 10 zu dem zweiten Schenkel 20 erstrecken. Durch diesen Aufbau der Elektrode 1 wird erreicht, daß sich der Strom nicht in Bereichen kleiner Krümmungsradien konzentriert, wodurch thermische Überlastungen bzw. ein Durchbrennen vermieden wird. Ferner wird erfindungsgemäß, um den durch die nicht leitenden Bereiche verloren gegangenen Raum wieder auszugleichen, die Gesamtbreite bzw. Gesamtquerschnittsfläche des Bogens im Gegensatz zu dem ersten bzw. zweiten Schenkel vergrößert.
