Definitions
- the invention is based on the type as specified in independent claim 1 and preferably relates to a fire detector.
- the alarm status (which has occurred when the fire detector has detected a fire and reported it to its control center) is shown in a dot-like manner by means of a red light-emitting diode which is arranged on the outer skin of the detector.
- fire detectors essentially consist of two Share: a base and a detector head.
- the base will screwed to a ceiling and wired, the detector head is attached to the base using a bayonet catch contacted and locked.
- the LED sits on Detector head.
- the detector has a parallel to the ceiling trending final level that can be seen from any direction is. Located near the edge of this level an LED visible from all directions as Light indicator.
- the detector has a low-lying, round end surface, which is surrounded by a higher, that is, closer to the ceiling, conical ring surface forming the outer skin of the detector; there are openings between this ring surface and the end surface into which the smoke to be reported can enter.
- An LED is provided as a light indicator on the ring surface, but is not visible from all directions, since it is covered by the outer surface in certain viewing directions. This results in the problem that the base must be mounted on the ceiling in such a correct position that the LED points towards the room entrance after the detector head has been attached.
- the subject of the application with the features of claim 1 has the following advantage: Characterized in that with the new detector, in particular fire detector, the light serving for the indicator light can emerge from the outer skin at points arranged around the detector, the alarm state of the detector is reliably recognizable regardless of the mounting direction of the base.
- Figure 2 shows the aforementioned second known version a detector with base 1, end level 2 far from the ceiling, Detector head 3 and LED 4 on a conical ring surface, which surrounds inlet openings 5 for smoke.
- the detector according to the invention according to Figure 1 has also a base 1 and a detector head 3.
- Above smoke inlet openings 6 are ring-shaped Luminous surfaces 7 of one or more light guides arranged, the / the light from an SMD light-emitting diode, the soldered to a circuit board inside the detector is to lead to the outer skin of the detector, through the Luminous surfaces is formed.
Abstract
Description
The invention is based on the type as specified in
With today's fire detectors, the alarm status (which has occurred when the fire detector has detected a fire and reported it to its control center) is shown in a dot-like manner by means of a red light-emitting diode which is arranged on the outer skin of the detector.
Dabei gibt es zwei Varianten:Mechanically, fire detectors essentially consist of two Share: a base and a detector head. The base will screwed to a ceiling and wired, the detector head is attached to the base using a bayonet catch contacted and locked. The LED sits on Detector head. There are two variants:
In the older variant (network optical detector NOM 100 from TELENORMA) the detector has a parallel to the ceiling trending final level that can be seen from any direction is. Located near the edge of this level an LED visible from all directions as Light indicator.
Melders mitbildenden, konischen Ringfläche umgeben ist;
In the newer version (optical smoke detector GOM 120 from Bosch Telecom GmbH), the detector has a low-lying, round end surface, which is surrounded by a higher, that is, closer to the ceiling, conical ring surface forming the outer skin of the detector; there are openings between this ring surface and the end surface into which the smoke to be reported can enter. An LED is provided as a light indicator on the ring surface, but is not visible from all directions, since it is covered by the outer surface in certain viewing directions.
This results in the problem that the base must be mounted on the ceiling in such a correct position that the LED points towards the room entrance after the detector head has been attached. Since the installation work of the base is partly carried out by subcontractors and they often do not pay attention to the installation direction, there is considerable additional effort for the fitter, who is ultimately only supposed to put on the detector head, if the wiring of the base is removed again, the base removed, new ones Mounting holes drilled in the correct position and the base must be re-assembled and re-wired.
Sockels. The subject of the application with the features of
Characterized in that with the new detector, in particular fire detector, the light serving for the indicator light can emerge from the outer skin at points arranged around the detector, the alarm state of the detector is reliably recognizable regardless of the mounting direction of the base.
Advantageous further developments are in the dependent Claims specified, the characteristics of which, to the extent useful, can be combined with each other.
