Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrically conductive cable for Connection of consumers and one Power supply device, especially in Connection with a vehicle electrical system, according to the genus of the main claim.
- connection of consumers in one Power supply system for example in one Vehicle electrical system with the power supply, for example the battery or with a plug that in turn connects to the Battery connected, is usually done today over harnesses.
- Such wire harnesses include a variety of electrical lines that are parallel to each other and together to the plug or the battery or one Generator are connected, each on the other One load or one side of the line electrical consumer is connected.
- the wire harnesses usually contain lines different cross-section, the cross-section in each case is adapted to the power consumption of the consumer, so that high current consumers over lines with large Cross-section are supplied while consumers are using low power consumption supplied via thinner cables become.
- the Power supply system for example the Vehicle electrical system
- de-energized cables are said to through the use of the electrically conductive Avoid cables.
- the electrically conductive cable according to the invention with the Features of claim 1 has the advantage that a maximum Utilization of the cable is possible as only minimal Line sections are de-energized. It is still there advantageous that a reduction in line losses is achievable because the maximum cable cross section for small streams is available. Still is advantageous that no isolation of single wires of the Wiring harness is required, making savings Material, for example copper is possible because the Design of the cross section can be optimized and overall is lower than for single cables. As a result of smaller cross-section, more flexible installation is possible and it is advantageously a saving of Contacts, for example when securing against Short circuits possible.
- Figure 1 shows a conventional wire harness.
- FIG. 1 shows a conventional wiring harness 10, which consists of four sections A, B, C, E and one Collective plug 11 is connected via a connection 12 with a voltage supply unit 13, for example a battery of a motor vehicle or a generator communicates.
- a voltage supply unit 13 for example a battery of a motor vehicle or a generator communicates.
- the wiring harness 10 consists of 9 Individual lines 10a, b, ... i, which if necessary have different cross sections. These lines or single cores are routed in parallel and lead to central controlled loads 1 to 8. Of the loads are partial two combined, namely 1 and 2, 3 and 4, and 6 and 7. 8 is a single load, the load 5 has a redundant one Supply via two separate single wires.
- the load 5 can be an electrical consumer, its functional path is particularly relevant to security, for example one electric brake or a control unit for one Anti-skid control.
- FIG. 2 shows a first exemplary embodiment of the invention shown and this embodiment has the same Consumers 1 through 8.
- the wiring harness is connected again to a common plug 11, which is connected 12 in connection with the voltage supply device 13 stands, or directly with the battery, the generator or is connected to a distributor.
- the wire harness 14 is made thereby from a cable trunk in which the Single wire cross sections in areas A, B and C are summarized. In area A is the cross section of the Cable harness largest, in area B the second largest and in Area C is the third largest. In area E is like the Example according to Figure 1 only a single wire is available.
- overload protected amplifiers A 1/2, B 3/4/5 and C / 5/6/7/8 installed. These overload-protected power amplifiers are controlled externally, for example by a central control unit. They switch the assigned to them Loads on the relevant area of the wiring harness.
- the Overload protected power amplifiers also ensure that no short circuits or similar occur.
- the load 5 is about in the embodiment of Figure 2 different wiring harness branches B and C and the associated ones overload-protected power amplifiers are supplied redundantly.
- This redundant supply through different Wire harness branches will be a particularly safe and reliable Power supply even if there are any Guaranteed interference.
- FIG 3 is a second embodiment of the invention shown with a wiring harness 15 that extends to area B corresponds to the embodiment of Figure 2.
- a wiring harness 15 that extends to area B corresponds to the embodiment of Figure 2.
- the wiring harness B leads over the Cable branch C with a thinner cross section to that overload protected switch B5 / 6/7/8.
- On this overload protected switches are both loads 6 and 7 as well as the load A connected via the single wire E as also the load 5, which is also above the overload protected Switch B3 / 4/5 and the wiring harness branch B1 a with the overload-protected switch B1 is connected.
- the Consumers 3 and 4 are also on the overload protected switch B3 / 4/5 supplied.
- the adjustment of the cross sections of the wiring harness trunk A as well the wiring harness branches B1 and C can in turn be based on the expected consumption performance of individual consumers be determined. With that shown in Figure 3 Cable harness with cable trunk and cable branches becomes possible Saving potential for the conductor material completely exploited.
- a particularly inexpensive solution for building the Harness can be achieved by the overload-protected semiconductor switches in the actuators be relocated and at the branches of the single wires Core or the cable branch directly over a short section run as a backup. If a short circuit arises, the single wire would have to be connected to a fuse element the cable trunk or the cable branch. In order to can save fuses and contacts that are currently needed in wiring harnesses in motor vehicles which each consumer is individually protected, one Many of these fuses in the normal operating state never to become active.
