Abstract

Ein Verfahren bzw. eine Vorrichtung zum Kalibrieren einer Gruppenantenne, auch während des Betriebs, besteht darin, daß nacheinander über jeden der vorhandenen Sendepfade (DA1, ..., DAN; Tx1, ..., TxN; DP1, ..., DPN) ein Sendesignal übertragen wird, daß von jedem der Sendesignale ein Anteil ausgekoppelt und der ausgekoppelte Sendesignal-Anteil in so viele Teilsignale mit gleichem Betrag und gleicher Phase aufgeteilt wird wie Empfangspfade vorhanden sind und diese Teilsignale in die Empfangspfade (DP1, ..., DPN; Rx1, ..., RxN; AD1, ..., ADN) eingekoppelt werden. Die über die einzelnen Empfangspfade übertragenen Teilsignale werden bezüglich Betrag und Phase gemessen, und aus den Meßsignalen und einem bekannten Transmissionsfaktor eines der Sende- oder Empfangspfade werden die Transmissionsfaktoren aller anderen Sende- und Empfangspfade ermittelt. Dabei festgestellte gegenseitige Abweichungen der Transmissionsfaktoren der Sende- bzw. Empfangspfade werden durch Veränderung von Wichtungsfaktoren in einem Strahlformungsnetzwerk (Tx-BFN, Rx-BFN) kompensiert.

One method or device for calibrating a group antenna, even during operation, consists in successively using each of the existing transmission paths (DA1, ..., DAN; Tx1, ..., TxN; DP1, ..., DPN ) a transmit signal is transmitted, that a portion of each of the transmit signals is decoupled and the decoupled transmit signal portion is divided into as many partial signals with the same amount and the same phase as there are receive paths and these partial signals into the receive paths (DP1, ..., DPN ; Rx1, ..., RxN; AD1, ..., ADN). The partial signals transmitted via the individual reception paths are measured with respect to magnitude and phase, and the transmission factors of all other transmission and reception paths are determined from the measurement signals and a known transmission factor of one of the transmission or reception paths. Mutual deviations of the transmission factors of the transmission or reception paths that are determined are compensated for by changing weighting factors in a beam shaping network (Tx-BFN, Rx-BFN).
