Abstract

A vane-type fluid machine capable of mechanically moving a vane and of producing a high compression ratio is provided, which includes: a casing having a contacting-surface circular arc on an inner periphery thereof; a rotor eccentrically fitted in the casing with a predetermined eccentricity, having a diameter to form a sealing surface with respect to the contacting-surface circular arc for keeping seal between a suction side and a discharge side and the rotor, and having a rotor discharging groove on an outer surface thereof; a vane slidably inserted in a rotor groove formed on the rotor; and a drive shaft inserted in a boss portion of the rotor concentrically with the rotor, wherein, with rotation of the rotor, fluid is sucked into a space formed in the casing and simultaneously fluid in another space formed in the casing is compressed, while being discharged from a discharge hole provided on the contacting-surface circular arc through the rotor discharging groove.
