Die Beweglichkeit der Armlehne mittels der Kinematikanordnung kann dabei vielfältig gestaltet sein. Die Armlehne kann über mehrstufige Bewegungsbahnen in die Fußstützposition oder in die Armlehnposition bewegt werden. Dabei können Schwenkvorgänge für sich vorgesehen oder mit entsprechenden Hub- oder Senkbewegungen kombiniert sein. Besonders vorteilhaft ist eine Kippbewegung der Armlehne, die jedoch zusätzlich ebenfalls mit weiteren Bewegungsfunktionen kombiniert sein kann.
