Abstract

The plate comprises a base plate (2), which shows part of the hazard- and material-number, and an exchangeable plate (1), indicating the remaining digits of complete hazard and material number. The digits, base plate and exchangeable plate are formed of high temperature-resistant material. The connection between the base plate and the exchange plate is also resistant to high temperature. The exchangeable plate is arranged so that it can be rotated about its vertical axis, if it is lifted sufficiently far above the base plate. A spring-mounted holding stirrup (3) presses the exchangeable plate further against the base plate after it has been rotated. The exchangeable plate comprises two individual plates. The front sides of the individual plates carry the digits (4) for composing the hazard and material number. The tops and bottoms of the individual plates have a cavity (5) in the symmetry axis in which the holding stirrup is located.
