Description

OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
The present invention refers to a reinforced door, of the type which are mainly constituted by a central low density agglomerated core, and to the manufacturing procedure employed for its obtention.
The object of the invention is the use of a central panel obtained by cutting the actual agglomerate base of the door for its subsequent internal reinforcement by means of DM boards which provide an added strength to said panel.
Likewise, an object of the invention is that the perimetral edge of the panel be covered with various wooden frames for its subsequent assembly on the opening performed on the agglomerated web of the door, for its subsequent covering by means of a protection board which provides reinforcement combined with a fine aesthetic appearance, specially at the sides of the groove which is subsequently carved on said frame.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Doors of the type which include a framework configured by a series of horizontal profiles and vertical jambs between which, a series of reinforcement grilles are placed, are known, some of said jambs and profiles being provided with bas-relief decorations.
This type of door requires the so-called reinforcement grilles so as to offer solidity, and introduces the added incorporation of the bas-reliefs defined in independent profiles which are to be found partially covered by external panels and veneers.
The panels adhered in normal manner, are provided with considerable thickness so as to offer the door with a strength it lacks in its own fundamentally hollow constitution.
However, said panels determine a rough appearance and offer scarce rigidity which leads to high fragility of the door, making feasible the development of a door which solves this problem, offering a solidity and optimum finish, such as is introduced by the reinforced door which is herewith described.
It is known in the state of the art the processes for constructing doors which present moulding strip positioned over the outer portions of the margins of a panel insert. The panel inserts and the moulding strips are suitably secured in place, with adhesive bonding, such as it is disclosed in US 4702054 and FR 2568509
This way of manufacturing doors with inserts which have moulding strips around its edges, presents some drawbacks such as, the moulding strips must be manufactured previously and once the door is being manufactured they must be cut precisely and bonding to the edges of the inserts. The final appearance of the product is rough and it offers scarce rigidity.
Now the object of the present invention is to overcome the previously mentioned drawbacks, developing a new process for manufacturing doors with inserts which have a moulding strip around the edge of the inserts, being obtained said moulding strips directly in the door. Firstly, a panel is obtained from the main panel of the door, over said obtained panel is performed a perimetral groove of constant thickness where a set of small boards are placed, afterwards a rear and a front frames are placed, being the board obtained introduced in an opening, adhering a protection fibre boards and an uncovered veneer and finally carving a groove, which has a similar appearance to an adhered moulding strip, but obtaining a rigidity and optimum finish.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The reinforced door which is the object of this invention covers the expressed claims to total satisfaction, counting to such effect, with an associated manufacturing procedure which proposes an optimisation of the resources employed in compliance with an operative mechanism leading to the obtention of a highly solid door, reinforced at its conflictive points.
The manufacturing of the door follows an embodiment sequence of a series of stages, such as is herewith described.
In the first place, it must be emphasised, that we part from a low density agglomerated web with a framing which surrounds it, web in which a cutting is performed for the obtention of a panel and an opening with shape and dimensions coinciding with said panel.
Next, the panel is trimmed, reducing its dimensions, and a grooving is subsequently performed with constant depth around its edge, on the sides of which, DM boards are inserted, which project at constant spacing from the perimetral edge of the panel.
Subsequently, the panel is covered by means of various frames, front and back, which are flush on its outside face with the front and rear faces of the panel, and at its edge, flush with the perimetral edge of the DM plates.
The frames present their outside perimetral edge with sizes and shape coinciding with those corresponding to the opening of the door with the purpose of facilitating their coupling together with the assembly it forms with the panel and the DM boards.
Next, the rear and front faces of the door are covered by means of a very fine protection fibre board which provides great solidity to the assembly, followed by the adherence of a final veneer.
The door formed in this manner may be carved on the area corresponding to the upper and lower faces of the frame, showing on the groove, specifically on its upper edge, a very fine layer corresponding to the protection fibre board and to the final veneer, determining a highly satisfactory finish.
The DM laminates which extend between the agglomerate panel and the frame on which the molding is defined, shall determine in their location, a greater link between the central area defined between the molding and the rest of the door, offering greater break strength or resistance against the separation of said central area as regards the rest of the door.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
In order to complement the description which is being carried out, and as an aid to a better understanding of the characteristics of the invention, the present Specification is enclosed, forming integral part of the same, with a set of drawings in which, with illustrative and non limitative character, the following has been represented:
  • Figure 1 shows the cutting phase of the door panel, the trimming of said panel, reducing its dimensions and the perimetral grooving.
  • Figure 2 shows the assembly phase of the small DM boards on the panel grooving.
  • Figure 3 shows the assembly phase of the frames on the assembly of the previous figure.
  • Figure 4 shows the profile of the already finished reinforced door.
  • PREFERRED EMBODIMENT OF THE INVENTION
In view of the figures, a preferred embodiment method of the reinforced door is described and its associated manufacturing method, applicable to doors of the type which consist of a central low density agglomerate web (1), covered along its perimeter by a framing (2).
The reinforced door mainly stands out because it is provided with a panel (4) coming from a cut of the central web (1), a panel (4) which is found inserted inside a wide opening (3) performed on the central web (1), and which presents a perimetral grooving (5) of constant thickness on its edges, on which a series of small DM boards (6) are assembled in projecting arrangement as regards the same, as well as various frames (7) in front and behind the central opening (8) coinciding in shape and size with the perimetral edge of the panel (4).
The constitutive sides of the frame (7) coincide in width with the projecting length of the small DM boards (6) and its height coincides with the length defined between the face of the small boards (6) on which it abuts and the face of the panel (4).
On the other hand, it must be emphasised that the front and rear faces of the agglomerate web (1) are provided with adhered protection fibre boards (9) and an uncovered veneer (10), and that the frame (7) shows a carved groove (11).
The manufacturing procedure of the reinforced door is sequenced according to the following stages:
    • trimming of a panel (12) on the central web (1) defining a wide through opening (3) on said central web (1).
    • trimming of the panel sides (2) to obtain a panel (4) of smaller dimensions on which, in turn, a perimetral groove (5) of constant thickness on its edges is performed.
    • partial inclusion of the small DM boards (6) on the perimetral groove (5) of the panel edges (4).
    • assembly of the front and rear frames (7) on the small boards (6) enveloping the perimetral edge of the panel (4).
    • introduction of the assembly formed by the frame (7), panel (4), and small boards (6) on the opening (3) of the central web (1).
    • adhesion of the protection fibre boards (9) and of an uncovered veneer (10).
    • carving of the groove (11) on the frame (7).
It is not considered necessary to make this description more extensive in order that any expert in the Art may understand the scope of the invention and the advantages derived from the same.
The materials, shape, size and arrangement of the elements shall be capable of variation provided it does not alter the essentials of the invention.
The terms in which this Specification has been described shall always be taken in the wide and non limitative sense.
