- Dust extracting device, in particular for hand tools (1) using discshaped tools, comprising a hoodlike housing (2), which surrounds the rear side and partially the periphery of the tools (4) and which is connectable to a device for generating a negative pressure, and a screen (3) of resilient material which extends over the periphery of the free end side and axially protrudes over the latter and includes a plurality of slots (31), which are spaced along the peripheral extent and are open towards the free end, characterised in that the width of the slots (31), as measured in the peripheral extent, increases towards the free end of the screen (3).
- Dust extracting device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the slots (31) extend substantially normally to the peripheral extent of the screen (3).
- Dust extracting device according to Claim 1 or 3, characterised in that the slots (31) extend at least partially over the full height of the screen (3).
- Dust extracting device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that between 1 and 50 slots (31) are evenly spaced over the periphery of the screen (3).
- Dust extracting device according to Claim 4, characterised in that the narrowest width of the slots (31), as measured in the peripheral extent of the screen (3), lies between 0 and 3 mm.
- Dust extracting device according to Claim 5, characterised in that the slots (31) terminate in radial passages (32) of the screen (3) the diameter of which exceeds the width of the slots (31) in the mouth area.
- Dust extracting device according to Claim 6, characterised in that the diameter of the radial passages (32) lies between 0.2 mm and 5 mm.
- Dust extracting device according to one of Claims 1 to 7, characterised in that the screen (3) is made of an elastomer.
