Definitions
- the invention relates to a chair with synchronous mechanism from the type specified in the preamble of claim 1.
- synchronous mechanism is an articulated coupling between Seat and backrest such that a change in inclination the backrest automatically with a change in inclination the seat, and vice versa. This improves the seating comfort, because with an upright posture a about horizontal adjustment of the seat and when leaning back Back posture in a sloping position the seat is desired.
- Chairs with synchronous mechanism are known in numerous versions, for example the publications DE 30 33 953 C2, DE 36 08 718 C3 and DE 38 34 614 A1 can be called.
- the relationship between the coupled inclination changes of the seat and the backrest i.e. the so-called synchronous course the mutual distances between the pivot axes and articulation points certainly.
- a chair with synchronous mechanism is known from US-A-5423594, where by changing the length of the backrest support with the base connecting the chair the synchronous ratio can be changed. By changing the length the handlebar also changes the angle between the backrest and seat in the normal position of the See.
- US-A-5560682 discloses a chair with synchronous mechanism, in which also changes the synchronous process can that the geometry of the backrest support and the Basic structure of the handlebar connection connecting the chair is changed, but only by changing elements the handlebar connection is possible.
- a chair is known, optionally with or can be executed without synchronous mechanics depending on whether there is a connecting link between the seat and backrest support or between the seat and the base structure of the Chair is arranged.
- the choice between these two positions the handlebar must be made by the manufacturer, a Adjustment by the user is not provided.
- the invention has for its object a chair mentioned type so that the synchronous course, i.e. the relationship between the coupled slope changes of the seat and backrest by the user in a simple manner can be changed.
- the basic idea of the invention is to determine the relationship between the coupled changes in inclination of the seat and backrest not by changing the effective length of one that couples them Handlebar change, but by moving the Handlebar relative to the seat and backrest pivot axis. Because the joints of the handlebar in the slots of the seat and the backrest support are slidably guided and these slots in the normal position of the chair is approximately horizontal and thus is also approximately parallel to each other, by Moving the handlebar in the slots does not incline the backrest changes relative to the seat in the normal position, but only the relationship between the changes in inclination of the backrest and seat.
- a chair column 1 On a chair column 1 is rotatable in a conventional manner and a seat support 3 adjustable in height.
- the area of the seat support 3 is about a horizontal axis 5 the seat 7 rotatably mounted.
- This seat pivot axis 5 is located preferably below the front part of the seat 7.
- a second horizontal axis of rotation on the seat support 3 9 formed around which a backrest support 11 rotatably mounted is who carries a backrest 13.
- the backrest support 11 is with the seat 7 by a coupling link 15 articulated coupled.
- the coupling link 15 an upper journal 15a, which is in an approximately horizontal Slot 17 of the seat 7 engages, and a lower Bearing pin 15b, which is in an approximately horizontal Slot 19 of the backrest support 11 engages.
- the bearing journals 15a, 15b can be moved in the slots 17, 19, and the position of the coupling link 15 in the longitudinal direction the slots 17, 19 can by means of a screw spindle 21 are adjusted and fixed, which are mounted on the seat support 7 and is rotated by the user with a handwheel 23 can.
- the coupling link 15 with its journals 15a and 15b and the slots 17, 19 in pairs on both sides of the vertical central plane the seat can be provided. Alternatively, they can also simply provided in the middle plane of the chair his.
- the coupling link 15 moved in the longitudinal direction of the slots 17, 19 and thereby the distance between those formed by the journals 15a, 15b Hinge points from the seat and backrest pivot axis 5 and 9 can be changed.
- the coupling link 15 shown in its left or front end position in which the pivot pin 15a of the pivot axis 5 of the seat 7 has the smallest possible distance A. If in this position the coupling arm 15 of the backrest support 11 with the backrest 13 by the angle ⁇ backwards into the dashed position 11 ', 13' shown is pivoted, the seat 7, since he with the backrest support 11 through the coupling link 15 is coupled by the angle ⁇ after pivoted below.
- the ratio between the angles ⁇ and ⁇ depends on the distance of the coupling link 15 from the Swivel axes 5 and 9. In the shown left end position the coupling link 15 results in the smallest Seat recline angle ⁇ at a given recline angle ⁇ , i.e. the ratio of the seat angle ⁇ Backrest inclination angle ⁇ , the so-called synchronous ratio, has the smallest possible value. It is in the illustrated Example approx. 0.4: 1.
- the coupling link 15 by means of the spindle 21 after shifted to the right until the bearing pin 15a the right or has reached the rear end of the slot 17 and from the Pivot axis 5 of the seat 7 the greatest possible distance B then the backrest support is inclined backwards 11 by the same angle ⁇ of the seat 7 through the Coupling link 15 by an angular amount ⁇ '(not shown) pulled down, which is significantly larger than the drawn angle ⁇ .
- ⁇ ' the ratio of the angle ⁇ 'to the angle ⁇ has a larger value.
- the synchronous ratio in the right end position of the coupling link 15 approx. 0.7: 1.
- the device for moving the articulated connection can also be used between seat 7 and backrest support 11 relative to whose pivot axes 5 and 9 mechanically in a different way than using guide slots and screw spindles his.
- the mechanical adjustment shown adjustment by means of an electric motor can also be considered to be pulled.
- a stepless adjustment a setting in a number of predetermined steps be provided.
- the change in the synchronous ratio also by moving the seat and / or backrest swivel axis 5, 9 can be brought about relative to the articulated coupling 15.

Description
bestimmt. The invention relates to a chair with synchronous mechanism from
the type specified in the preamble of
This ratio or this synchronous course lies with them previously known chairs with synchronous mechanism due to the design invariably firm. Adjustments to the physical Conditions of the seated person, e.g. body weight, are at most by setting one of the inclination change counteracting spring force (cf. DE 3608718 C2 or DE 3700447 A1) or by changing the seat angle to the normal position (see.
A chair with synchronous mechanism is known from US-A-5423594, where by changing the length of the backrest support with the base connecting the chair the synchronous ratio can be changed. By changing the length the handlebar also changes the angle between the backrest and seat in the normal position of the See.
US-A-5560682 offenbart einen Stuhl mit Synchronmechanik, bei dem ebenfalls der Synchronverlauf dadurch geändert werden kann, daß die Geometrie einer den Rückenlehnenträger und der Basis-struktur des Stuhles verbindenden Lenkerverbindung verändert wird, was jedoch nur durch Auswechseln von Elementen der Lenkerverbindung möglich ist.US-A-5560682 discloses a chair with synchronous mechanism, in which also changes the synchronous process can that the geometry of the backrest support and the Basic structure of the handlebar connection connecting the chair is changed, but only by changing elements the handlebar connection is possible.
From DE-A-37 00 447 a chair is known, optionally with or can be executed without synchronous mechanics depending on whether there is a connecting link between the seat and backrest support or between the seat and the base structure of the Chair is arranged. The choice between these two positions the handlebar must be made by the manufacturer, a Adjustment by the user is not provided.
The invention has for its object a chair mentioned type so that the synchronous course, i.e. the relationship between the coupled slope changes of the seat and backrest by the user in a simple manner can be changed.

The basic idea of the invention is to determine the relationship between the coupled changes in inclination of the seat and backrest not by changing the effective length of one that couples them Handlebar change, but by moving the Handlebar relative to the seat and backrest pivot axis.
An embodiment of the invention is based on the drawing explained in more detail. This shows a schematic side view an office chair with an adjustable synchronous mechanism according to an embodiment of the invention.
On a
It is understood by those skilled in the art that the coupling link
