Abstract

The dimmer includes a first driver and final stage (3) with an output (I.1) for the connection of a first lamp or another load, and a second driver and final stage (4) with an output (II.1) for the connection of a second lamp or a second load. A common control arrangement (6) is provided for the control of both driver and final stages. A micro-controller is preferably provided as the control arrangement, and the dimmer is preferably executed as a basic instrument, on which different operating element (7, 8) with potentiometers (71, 72) or sensors (81, 82) are selectively plugged.

Description

The invention relates to a device for brightness control of lighting devices.

Known dimmers for mounting in a flush-mounted box are for switching and dimming of a consumer or a consumer group. Such dimmers can be exchanged in existing systems for switches or change-over switches become.

As a replacement for a series switch that has two independent consumers switches, such dimmers are not suitable.

The invention has for its object to provide a device that has a series switch can replace and allows two consumers to be dimmed independently.

Document WO 89/05562 shows a control device for independent dimming several lighting devices.

This task is performed by a dimmer with the specified in claim 1 Features resolved. Advantageous refinements are specified in further claims.

The dimmer according to the invention contains two separate power levels for the connection two consumers, e.g. B. incandescent or low-voltage halogen lamps, the can be connected via an external electronic transformer. For controlling there is a common control device. The double dimmer The device can be exchanged for a series switch in a flush-mounted box deploy. The device can advantageously be designed so that different Control units can be plugged on, e.g. with buttons or potentiometers, also combined with switches. Terminals for extension inputs can also be provided are used for connecting remote controls.

A further description of the invention is given below with the aid of a Drawing shown embodiment.

Figur 1 zeigt ein Blockschema eines Dimmers.Figure 1 shows a block diagram of a dimmer.

The device contains a power supply unit 1 for supplying its electronic devices. Network synchronization 2 denotes means for detecting zero current crossing, which enable operation with phase control. The device can alternatively, you can also work with phase control. A first driver and Power stage 3 forms a first dimmer I with a first output I.1. A second Driver and output stage 4 forms a second dimmer II with a second output II.1. A connection terminal for the phase conductor L is as a common input terminal available. A common microcontroller is used to control the two dimmers I, II 6 arranged.

The device is designed as a basic device, onto which different operating parts can be attached are. Suitable is e.g. a control panel of conventional touch dimmers, one each Half of the touch surface can be used to operate a dimmer I, II. connectable is also a control panel 8 with two buttons 81, 82 or a control panel 7 with double potentiometers 71, 72 and separate switches (not shown). Such controls can be connected to the microcontroller 6 via inputs 61, 62.

The device can have further terminals, in particular at least one extension input NE, and if necessary for each extension input NE means 5 for Level adjustment and isolation, e.g. Optocouplers. To such an extension entrance NE can be connected to control points remote from the device, e.g. also several switches connected in parallel to control one of the dimmers I, II the use of the means 5 for level adjustment and isolation can push buttons switched to phase L.
