Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Schalldämpfer, welcher einen rohrförmigen Hohlkörper (1) zur Durchleitung eines Mediums (2) in seinem Inneren mit Auslässen (4), vorzugsweise Löchern oder Schlitzen, sowie einen, den rohrförmigen Hohlkörper (1) umfassenden Mantel mit hinter den jeweiligen Auslässen (4) des rohrförmigen Hohlkörpers (1) angeordneten, gegeneinander und nach außen hin abgeschlossenen Hohlräumen (6) aufweist, der sich dadurch auszeichnet, daß die Abschlußwände der Hohlräume gegeneinander (7) aus einem faserverstärktem, vorzugsweise glasfaserverstärktem Kunststoff gefertigt sind und daß der faserverstärkte Kunststoff zusätzlich Kugeln (8), vorzugsweise Glaskugeln enthält.
