Definitions
- the invention relates to an electrical switching device for the automatic, time-limited, repetitive commissioning of a consumer of electrical energy, such as, for example, a room lighting system or a garden or field irrigation system.
- Switching devices of this type are known by the technical term "time switch".
- a time switch is an electrical analog or digital clock with - in the case of an analog clock - a rotating dial with digits from 1 to 24 and actuators for a mechanical or electronic switch assigned to these digits. This allows you to set, for example, in the time range from 18 h (around sunset at the beginning of spring or autumn) to 23 h (around the beginning of night's sleep) in which a room lamp is switched on. When you are away from the apartment, you want to simulate its inhabited condition to keep burglars away.
- the object of the invention is therefore a switching device to create with the one also influenced by the lighting conditions Consumers of electrical energy in an automatically repeating manner Process for a certain time also taking into account the ambient brightness can be put into operation.
- the above object of the invention is characterized by the Features of claim 1 and the independent claim 6 solved. Advantageous developments of the invention are described in the subclaims.
- a consumer of electrical energy is one of the passage of time controlled switching device ("timer 3") in combination with one of those that change over time Luminous intensity controlled switching device ("Photoschalter 4") arranged.
- the closings and openings in the consumer circuit existing controlled circuits of the timer and the photoswitch connected in series with this are coordinated in such a way that both the time lapse and also determined by the variable light intensity Operating intervals of the consumer 2 electrical energy in result in automatic repetition.
- only one switch 34 is arranged in the consumer circuit; This switch is triggered in controlled coordination for switching automatically repeating operating intervals of an energy consumer through a time control switch 51 and a photo control switch 52 arranged in its control circuit.
- Fig.1 are a room lighting device 2 as a consumer of electrical energy, a timer 3 and a photoswitch 4 electrically connected in series, wherein each of these terms for a technical ensemble stands.
- the consumer of electrical energy 2 is e.g. by a floor lamp 2a shown with one or more Luminous elements on a holding and contact device, one Hand switch 2b and a connecting cable with plug 2c.
- the Timer 3 essentially consists of the following components: an electromechanical timer 3a is synchronous with one driven program and switch actuation disc 3b equipped.
- This disc points - from the inside to the outside - a concentric section along the circumference is numbered from 1 to 24; at one turn of the disc per Day, these digits represent the hours of the day.
- the rotating Digit band is from a sector wreath (not shown) surround; a one-hour section e.g. each four sectors made of insulating material, the radially on and can be pushed out. If such a sector z. B. pushed radially inwards, it runs with the rotation of the Disc on a swivel arm arranged stationary behind it opens and closes one with the pushing in of this actuating arm Contact.
- this switch is as represented by a relay 3c operated switch 3d.
- the switch 3d opens and closes according to one in the timer entered circuit program.
- the timer can 3 at least in part by components made of semiconductor material be made, which is not shown graphically is.
- the current is switched by a mechanical switch 4d which the relay 4c actuates.
- the relay circuit there is a switch 4a made of semiconductor material (Transistor) arranged by the action of a in arranged in its control circuit, shown symbolically Photoresistor 4b becomes low-resistance in the dark and that Relay 4c can close the main power switch 4d.
- Photoresistor 4b becomes low-resistance in the dark and that Relay 4c can close the main power switch 4d.
- the transistor With brightness the transistor becomes affected by the action of the photoresistor high impedance, which may interrupt the relay circuit; switching off the switch 4d now causes one Switch-off spring approximately in a structural unit with one of the two contact bodies.
- This switch can also do photoswitches in hybrid construction be fully electronic using anti-parallel switched thyristors, in their control circuit a photoresistor is arranged, which is not shown graphically is. If there is a photoresistor below one Value of the light intensity in a high-resistance state flows a gate current that ignites the thyristor, which is convenient to turn on means. Without the gate current, i.e. at one after exceed a value of light intensity that has become low-resistance The thyristor blocks the photoresistor, i.e. it opens, switches if necessary.
- Luminous intensity brightness of the light source
- Color intensity brightness of the light source
- luminance the luminous flux due to the solid angle in “steradian” in “lumens”, the latter as the whole of a light source in all directions light output emitted and perceived by the eye.
- Illuminance in “Lux” is the luminous flux due to the receiver surface in m2.
- the timer 3 and the photo switch 4 can be structurally be united in one housing. These two switches can also form individual pieces, each with plug and Socket contacts is equipped to turn it into a photo-timer connected, plugged together, Fig.2. In the case of a photo-timer that is composed of individual pieces can the photosensor switch 4 in immediate Close to the window, e.g. on the windowsill, arrange where the Photosensor 4b is directly exposed to daylight Fig. 3.
- the socket 6 on the connecting cable 5 of the photoswitch 4 with the timer 3 on the wall socket 1 also serves as an elevated storage for the photoswitch at the window of a living room.
- the task of the invention can also be done with just one Switch 34 in the electrical circuit of a consumer Solve energy, for which the control circuit of this single switch with a timer 51 and a photo switch 52 for the and brightness-dependent control, Fig.4.
- the symbol for the Switch 34 both a mechanical controlled by a relay 50 operated switch as well as an at least partially Components made of semiconductor material (thyristors) containing Switch with an at least partially transistorized Control circuit.
- Block 51 In the circuit of the actuating relay 50 symbolizes the Block 51 the time control switch.
- This switch can be controlled by an electromechanical Timer 51a with program and switching disk 51b may be shown - analogously to the timer 3 in FIG. 1.
- Block 52 represents the photo control switch in the circuit of relay 50.
- This switch is represented by an auxiliary relay, in its circuit a photosensor 52a with photoresistor 52b is arranged in this way - possibly in the control circuit a transistor arranged in it - depending on the brightness the auxiliary relay with its switching contacts the current des Relay 50 opens or closes - analogous to the photo switch 4 in Fig. 1.
- Switch 34 is also the photo control switch 52nd Made of semiconductor material: one based on a transistor acting photoresistor 52b leaves the pass-through path of the transistor from the emitter to the collector with sufficient brightness become high impedance, i.e. "open up” and in the dark become low impedance, which corresponds to "close”.
- control switches 51 and 52 in Circuit of the relay 50 for actuating the switch 34 in Consumer circuit can be in this switch type the switchgear the same every night, every morning and both nightly and morning Operate the operating intervals of a consumer of electrical energy as with the already based on exemplary embodiments explained automatic switch in two-switch design - provided in both cases the two switches are switched in the consumer circuit and the two switches in the control circuit, namely 3 and 4 or 51 and 52 coordinated in the same way.
- the specific switching programs for automatic switching in Switch type are found as claims 8 to 10.
- the time photo switch according to the invention can be also to a timer only or to a photo switch only modify.
- Fig.1 With the automatic switch in two-switch design, Fig.1, with timers made as individual pieces 3 and photoswitch 4, Fig. 2, this is self-evident.
- At the automatic switch in two-switch design with a common Housing for timer and photo switch becomes: a timer by covering the photosensor - or a photosensor switch by setting the time switch to permanent contact. Analog measures on the time control switch 51 or on Photo control switch 52 of the switch 34 performed there result also a photosensor switch or a timer.
- Time switches and photo switches as well as the individual switch 34 controlled by time and brightness should be connected directly to the AC network, that is to say to a wall socket in a living room or work space.
- the brightness at the various mounting locations of the wall sockets in a room is also different and generally does not match the brightness perception of a person in this room. Investigations showed that when an automatic switch with time and light control is connected to sockets attached away from a room window, the standard lamp is switched on in the evening up to about an hour earlier than the brightness requirement of the person in the room. This is associated with additional consumption of electrical energy for room lighting.
- timer and photo switch can be arrange the photo switch on the windowsill.
- the measure requires something that is difficult to relocate elaborate and 220 V voltage connecting cables, which is also a widespread use of automatic controls Time and light control should be in the way. This problem also exists for the automatic switch with only one switch in the consumer circuit.
- FIG. 5 conveys the view from the depth of a room 73 onto a room window 74.
- a socket 1 is attached below.
- This outlet is the switch 34 of the with an invisible plug Automatic switch 34 with time and light control and nothing more integrated photosensor and thus in one Consumer circuit inserted; part of it is in shape a connection cable 76 can be seen.
- This connecting cable leads to a floor lamp no longer shown as an energy consumer.
- a control line leads from the switch 34 72 to a stand 71 standing on the window sill 75, and it is there with the photosensor 70 at the top of the Tripod handle electrically connected.
- the photosensor 70 also feels immediately the luminous flux through the window, i.e. the light intensity the light source firmament or its brightness at the window as the one and original control variable for light control of the automatic timer and light switch.
- the two-wire control line 72 consists of a thin, divergent wire; their isolation needs only for the low Voltage of the photosensor circuit to be dimensioned.
- the free end of the connecting line 72 is with a coaxial connector provided on the underside of the switch housing 34 is inserted into a socket. With the wall wallpaper color-coordinated connecting line 72 is attached to the wallpaper with colorless tape.
Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an electrical switching device for the automatic, time-limited, repetitive commissioning of a consumer of electrical energy, such as, for example, a room lighting system or a garden or field irrigation system. Switching devices of this type are known by the technical term "time switch". A time switch is an electrical analog or digital clock with - in the case of an analog clock - a rotating dial with digits from 1 to 24 and actuators for a mechanical or electronic switch assigned to these digits. This allows you to set, for example, in the time range from 18 h (around sunset at the beginning of spring or autumn) to 23 h (around the beginning of night's sleep) in which a room lamp is switched on. When you are away from the apartment, you want to simulate its inhabited condition to keep burglars away.
However, the time of sunset changes in the Significant lapse of the seasons within fourteen days by up to half an hour. As a result e.g. in the event of a fourteen-day absence from the apartment by a conventional one Timer a room lighting after the winter solstice can still be switched on in daylight and after the summer solstice only after dark. This unnatural process can be noticed - also opportunities spying burglars who are now "thanks" to the timer get certainty: this apartment is currently not inhabited. Should be in the absence of apartment users the weather at home is rainy and very cloudy, or a thunderstorm, it can be long before sunset be necessary to switch on the light in the apartment. The rigidly programmable timer cannot do this. So an unused apartment remains in a bad weather phase despite an inserted timer compared to an illuminated one Environment noticeably unlit. Similar problems can arise arise when a timer in the green season is used for watering a nightly Home garden.

In the circuit diagram, Fig.1, are a
seinem Steuerkreis angeordneten, symbolisch dargestellten
hochohmig, was den Relais-Stromkreis gegebenenfalls unterbricht;
In the
Definition of the lighting terms used: "Luminous intensity", brightness of the light source, is in "Candella" the luminous flux due to the solid angle in "steradian" in "lumens", the latter as the whole of a light source in all directions light output emitted and perceived by the eye. On the receiver side, the following applies: "Illuminance" in "Lux" is the luminous flux due to the receiver surface in m2.
- bei geschlossenem Zeitschalter 3 schließt der Photoschalter 4 bei Unterschreiten eines bestimmten Wertes der Lichtstärke im Zeitbereich des Sonnenuntergangs; damit beginnt das Betriebsintervall der Zimmerstehlampe;
- with the
timer 3 closed, thephotoswitch 4 closes when the light intensity falls below a certain value in the time range of the sunset; this begins the operating interval of the floor lamp; - the
timer 3 then opens when thephoto switch 4 is closed, when it is time for a night's sleep, for example at 23 h ; this ends the operating interval of the standard floor lamp; - subsequently, when the
time switch 3 is open, thephotoswitch 4 opens when a certain value of the light intensity is exceeded in the time range of the sunrise; - the
timer 3 then closes when thephoto switch 4 is open and thus creates the conditions for a repeating operating interval of the room lighting that begins in the dusk; So that this closing of the time switch, which prepares for the daily start-up of a room lighting, takes place with the greatest possible security with thephoto switch 4 already open, this closing is postponed to midday.
- bei geöffnetem Zeitschalter 3 schließt der Photoschalter 4 bei Unterschreiten eines bestimmten Wertes der Lichtstärke im Zeitbereich des Sonnenuntergangs;
- when the
timer 3 is open, thephoto switch 4 closes when the light intensity falls below a certain value in the time range of the sunset; - the
timer 3 then closes when thephoto switch 4 is closed, when it is time to get up in the morning, about 6 hours ; this starts an operating interval of the room floor lamp; - subsequently, when the
timer 3 is closed, thephotoswitch 4 opens when a certain value of the light intensity is exceeded at the time of sunrise; this ends the operating interval of the standard floor lamp; - The
timer 3 then opens when thephoto switch 4 is open and thus creates the prerequisite for a repeating operating interval of the standard floor lamp which ends in the area of dawn.
- bei geschlossenem Zeitschalter 3 schließt der Photoschalter 4 bei Unterschreiten eines bestimmten Wertes der Lichtstärke im Zeitbereich des Sonnenuntergangs; damit beginnt ein erstes Betriebsintervall der Zimmer-Stehlampe;
- with the
timer 3 closed, thephotoswitch 4 closes when the light intensity falls below a certain value in the time range of the sunset; this begins a first operating interval of the standard floor lamp; - the
timer 3 then opens when thephoto switch 4 is closed, when it is time for a night's sleep, for example at 22 h 30 min ; this ends the first operating interval; - then the
timer 3 closes when thephotoswitch 4 is closed, when it is time to get up in the morning, for example at 6 h 30 min ; the lighting is switched on and a second operating interval begins - but only if it is still dark at this time, i.e. in winter; in summer and when the sky is clear, it is already bright at this time; thephoto switch 4 is then already open, so that there is no longer a morning operating interval for a consumer of electrical energy; the "intelligent" switching device therefore only starts up every evening in summer, as has already been explained; If there is no seasonal change in the switching program, continue as follows: - subsequently, with the
timer 3 closed, thephoto switch 4 opens when a certain value of the light intensity is exceeded in the time range of the sunrise; the second operating interval ends; - Subsequently, the
timer 3 closes when thephotoswitch 4 is open and thus prepares the repetition of the electrical energy operating intervals of both a night and a morning.

The
Regarding the already explained application example of the automatic switching for both evening and morning Operating intervals of a floor standing lamp were three test samples created in two-switch plug-in type, Fig. 2. So 3, the test operation runs in the arrangement according to FIG Trouble-free locations and offers the envisaged advantages.
Steuerkreis. The task of the invention can also be done with just one
4 in Fig.1.
erläuterten Schaltautomatik in Zweischalterbauart - vorausgesetzt
Einschalterbauart finden sich gleich als Ansprüche 8 bis 10.In the circuit of the
abwandeln. Bei der Schaltautomatik in Zweischalterbauart,
Fig.1, mit als Einzelstücke hergestellten Zeitschalter
The time photo switch according to the invention can be

Untersuchungen
In the following, a further development of the invention according to the additional patent application, file number: will be filed after receipt, for the main patent application 197 24 815.2, is described:
Time switches and photo switches as well as the
With separate construction of timer and photo switch can be arrange the photo switch on the windowsill. This However, the measure requires something that is difficult to relocate elaborate and 220 V voltage connecting cables, which is also a widespread use of automatic controls Time and light control should be in the way. This problem also exists for the automatic switch with only one switch in the consumer circuit.

The associated FIG. 5 conveys the view from the depth of a
The two-
