Aus konzeptionellen Gründen werden für Cigarettenfilter zunehmend Cellulosefilter eingesetzt. Als Monofilter sind Papierfilter daher nicht geeignet, sondern nur als sg. Doppel-, Dual- oder Mehrfachfilter in Verbindung mit anderem Filtermaterial. Dieses Material, als Monofilter hergestellt, zeigt überraschenderweise die gleichen Retentions- und Geschmackseigenschaften wie herkömmliche Mehrfachfilter gleicher Gesamtretention. Die Herstellung dieses neuartigen Filtermaterials kann in dem Melt-Blown-Prozeß durch Verwendung von glatten oder vorgekreppten Papierbahnen, die mehrlagig, vorzugsweise einlagig, in einem Gewichtsbereich von 8 bis 50 g/m , vorzugsweise 15 bis 30 g/m liegen, dergestalt erfolgen, daß das aufgeblasene, geschmolzene Celluloseacetat einen Acetylierungsgrad von 1 bis 3, vorzugsweise 1,7 bis 2,6 hat. Dieses Celluloseacetat ist vorzugsweise ein mit Triacetin weichgemachtes Celluloseacetat, wobei das Triacetin die Wand der Celluloseacetatfasern erweicht, so daß diese an ihren Kreuzungs¬ oder Kontaktstellen miteinander verkleben.The features of patent claims 1 and 17 serve to solve these tasks.
