Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Brennkraftmaschine für Fahrzeuge mit einer Schubabschaltung und einer variablen Ventilsteuerung, bei der abhängig vom Fahrzustand des Fahrzeugs im Schubbetrieb ein Motorbremsmoment über Gaseinlaß- und Gasauslaßventile einstellbar ist.
Es wird vorgeschlagen, daß im Schubbetrieb stets zumindest eine Ventilgattung, alle Gaseinlaß- oder alle Gasauslaßventile, dauernd geschlossen sind.
