- These pylons for example tubular, carry support rollers of the return strand and they are equipped with the usual safety devices, such as anti-derailers.
- the rope drive is carried by a vertical end pylon on arrival and it has a gearmotor whose shaft carries a drive pulley the rope.
- the same pylon advantageously carries the rope tension, for example a mobile counterweight along of the pylon.
- a rope 10 extends in a closed loop between a starting location 11 and ending location 12 of a device for dragging or towing skiers with 13 boots of skis.
- the strand 14 of the rope 10 rests and slides on the surface 15 of the snow and passes over pulleys end and deflection 16 carried by pylons 17,18 end, arranged respectively at the departure station 11 and arrival 12.
- the end pulleys 16 guide the rope 10, so that the return strand 19 of the cord 10 extends parallel above the strand 14, for example at a height of about five meters and that the loop of the rope 10 extends in an almost vertical plane.
- Pylon 17 to starting location 11 is a simple tubular mast vertical, which carries two end pulleys, one of which 16.1 is fixed at the top and the other 16.2 is fixed in the vicinity from the base of the pylon 17.
- These pulleys 16.1 and 16.2 are mounted idlers on horizontal axes carried by supports 20, of which that 20.2 of the basic pulley 16.2 is fixed height adjustable at pylon 17, to account for the height of the layer of snow and maintain the strand of drag 14 at a predetermined distance from the surface 15 of the snow.
- the two end pulleys 16.1, 16.2 are fixed to the pylon 17 and the loop of the rope 10 extends in a plane vertical.
- the dragging track shows a slight change in slope, so that the strand 14 coming out of the pulley base 16.2 gradually joins the surface 15 of the snow, a few meters beyond the starting location 11.
- the pylon 18 on arrival is a similar vertical mast, which carries a crown end pulley 16.3 and a pulley of base 16.4, as well as a motor device and a device voltage.
- the motor device is a geared motor 21 with a drive pulley 22, associated with the base end pulley 16.4, so that the rope 10 embraces almost all of the circumference of the driving pulley 22 and comes out vertically direction of the top of the pylon 18.
- the tensioning device is arranged at the top of the pylon 18 and it includes a counterweight 23, movable vertically along the pylon 18.
- the rope 10 passes on top of pylon 18 successively on a pulley of return 24, a muffle 25, carrying the counterweight 23 and the end pulley 16.3.
- the counterweight 23 keeps the return strand 19 stretched between the two end pylons 17,18, at a certain height and that the strand 14, is driven by the driving pulley 22 sliding on the snow.
- the basic pulley 16.4 and the geared motor 21 with the driving pulley 22 are fixed on two remote supports 35, including the height of attachment to the pylon 18 is adjustable, to take into account the thickness of the snow.
- the dragging track before the location arrival 12 a change of slope so that the rope 10 leaves the snow surface 15 and gradually deviates from this to come up to the height, for example of two meters, from the end pulley 16.4 to the right of the pylon 18.
- the skier 13 thus instinctively releases the rope 10 upon arrival.
- One or more line pylons 26 are distributed along the line to support the return strand 19 at a height sufficient not to interfere with skiers 13.
- Each pylon of line 26, in the form of a gallows, comprises a vertical mast 27, laterally offset with respect to the strand 14 and extended by a horizontal curved portion 28, which extends transversely to the line.
- the mast 27 carries hooks 31, to which the strand of drag 14 can be hung at the end of the day.
- a system more elaborate comprises a winch 41 fixed to the base of the pylon of line 26, the cable 42 of which extends and slides inside the tubular curved mast 27,28 and carries at its end, protruding of the gallows, a hook hook 43 of the dragging strand 14.
- a safety device in the form of a telescopic tube 32 is located in front of the end pulley 16.4 of the pylon end 18.
- the strand 14 goes inside the tube 32, which is fixed on the side of the pylon 18 by a joint spherical 33 to a support 34 integral with the pylon 18.
- This articulation 33 is close to the entry point of the strand of dragging 14 on the end pulley 16.4 or a system of guide at the front of this pulley 16.4, and it allows free travel of the telescopic tube 32 in a conical volume centered on articulation 33 to follow the deflections lateral and in height of the dragging strand 14.
- a template in the form of perpendicular plate 36 having a central hole 37 of passage of the rope with little play 10.
- the telescopic tube 32 is in the position shown extension and it keeps the plate 36 away from the end pulley 16.4.
- the telescopic tube 32 carries, at in the vicinity of orifice 37, a roller 39, which rests on the rope 10 and maintains the telescopic tube 32, which thus follows the travel of the rope, thanks to articulation 33.
- the rope 10 slides freely inside the tube 32.
- a stop breakable 40 or a spring holds the tube telescopic 32 in extended position, without opposing nevertheless to a shortening of the tube 32, under the action of a body gripped by the rope 10, which abuts against the plate 36 and the drive.
- This shortening of the telescopic tube 32 is detected by any suitable means, for example by the breaking of the stop 40 or the opening of a micro-contact, connected to the box electric 44, which immediately stops the gearmotor 21 and therefore the training of the rope 10.
- the assembly is arranged so that the stop occurs before the body grabbed the rope 10, in this case the skier's hand, reaches the end pulley 16.4.
- the restart is automatic, as soon as the template is released and the tube telescopic returns, under the action of the spring, to position extension or possibly requires the intervention of attendant.
- the end pylons 17,18 have hoods protection 38, which covers the accessible mobile parts, in particular the end pulleys 16.
- the operation of the dragging device emerges from the previous presentation:
- the rope 10 scrolls continuously, the strand 14 sliding on the snow 15.
- the skier 13 at the start advances, through the rear of the end pylon 17 on the left or right side thereof, towards the starting location 11 where it grasps the strand 14, clearly spaced from the surface 15 of the snow.
- the skier is dragged by the strand 14, keeping the latter raised throughout the course.
- the lifting force is low, since it essentially depends on the tensile force, which is itself low.
- the skier releases the rope 10 and moves away from the track, which can be slightly sloping.
- the strand 14 is hung on the hooks 31 or raised by the winches 41 of the line pylons 26.
- the track is thus completely clear and accessible to grooming machines and in in case of snowfall the rope 10 is not likely to be buried.
- the usual detector At the end of the runway is arranged the usual detector, which signals the passing by a skier 13 and which causes the installation to stop.
- a second security is ensured by the plate 36, which is actuated by the hand of a skier who has not released the rope 10 in time. Any risk of accident is thus excluded and the device can operate in self-service.
- a braided cord 10 is advantageously used, whose coefficient of elongation is low and whose smooth surface limits friction and wear.
- a polyester rope resists very intense ultraviolet rays in the mountains.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for dragging people, in particular of skiers, by a cord scrolling continuously following a closed loop trajectory between starting locations and arrival, each equipped with at least one end pulley, the strand of dragging the rope being at the level of the track in order to be grabbed directly by the person and the strand back being supported in height by pylons above people. The invention is described below in its application to dragging of skiers, but it is clear that the person may be on skates, a sledge, a skateboard or the like.
A known device of the kind mentioned is installed on a runway beginner skiers, especially to allow them to familiarize with the ski lifts. This device is complicated and the risks of accident are numerous. It requires the presence of a surveillance and restart personnel during an incident. The extension of ski areas and the multiplication of lifts mechanical pose the problem of transfer of skiers from one installation at another or an installation at a car park or at a residential area and this problem is all the more difficult as the skiers are used to high-performance ski lifts in terms of comfort and flow and find it difficult to accept move on skis or on foot with skis on your shoulder, in areas very slight slope. A similar problem arises in parks of attraction with downhill slopes with a slight slope.
Document US-A-3,209,703 describes a device according to the preamble of
The object of the present invention is to make available to people a simple and permanent means of transport, of the free kind service, which provides transfers to areas with low effortless and safe slope, suitable for beginners too.
The dragging device according to the invention is characterized in what the strand dragging the rope, devoid of organs of grip, rest and slide on the track and pass to the end location on an end pulley of a rope drive gearmotor, which returns the rope toward the return strand, extending above the strand dragging and that a safety device, arranged upstream of the end pulley at the arrival location detects the passage of a body and controls the stopping of the gearmotor rope training, so that this stop occurs before said body reaches the end pulley, the term upstream being defined with respect to the direction of movement of the rope.
The use of a smooth braided rope, free of tackles or other grips, allows direct sliding of the bit of drag on the snow, without risk of snagging obstacles and the skier can grab the rope in one place any without waiting for the arrival of an apparatus. The absence of towing strand support towers frees up completely the space around this strand and thus avoids any risk hooking or collision. By providing, according to the invention, a safety device on arrival, which checks the release of the rope by the skier, the presence of a supervisor becomes useless. The dragging device and its free use service are particularly simple and the distance from drag can be several tens, even several hundreds of meters with moving speeds of 2 m / sec or more or less.
According to a development of the invention, the strand is maintained in height when the installation is stopped, in especially at night, to avoid the burial of the rope during snowfall and facilitate maintenance of the track. For this purpose the line pylons are equipped with hooks, for hanging the rope high or, according to a important feature, winches, allowing hooking and raising the towing strand to the top of the pylons line.
The dragging line release detector, before the pulleys guidance and training at the arrival location, is a essential element of installation security and this detector includes a template, in the form of a plate placed perpendicular to the rope and having a passage opening at weak rope play. The plate can wrestle freely in his plan, in all directions, to follow the transverse deflections of the dragging strand and it is kept at a predetermined distance from the end pulley by a support, allowing limited movement in the direction of this pulley, if the hand of a skier, grabbed the rope abuts the template and drives it. This limited displacement triggers the immediate shutdown of the strand drive motor dragging, which stop occurs before the gauge and the hand, driven by the rope, reach the end pulley. The template is preferably carried by a telescopic tube, in which the rope passes. The end of the tube, opposite the template, is articulated by a ball joint at a fixed point, neighboring from the entry point of the rope on the end pulley. The support and the template can thus oscillate freely in a conical volume centered on this entry point of the pulley and follow the movements of the drag line. The support telescopic is normally held in the extended position, for example by a breakable spring or stop and its shortening triggers the cessation of training the rope.
The towing rope is advantageously a braided rope in polyester, which has the advantage of a low coefficient elongation and good resistance to ultraviolet rays and at break, as well as anti-twisting.
According to a development of the invention the end pulleys are attached to end pylons above the level of the snow, especially at an adjustable height, to maintain the rope at the start and finish locations above the snow at the level of the skier's hand and thus facilitate the grip and release of the rope. The layout is made of such that the rope, for example at a height of one or two meters near the pylon, gradually joins the surface snow and comes to rest on it a few meters more far beyond the starting location. The end pylon is vertical and aligned with the trajectory of the rope and it has a small width to allow access skiers on either side of the pylon and taking the rope with the skier's left or right hand.
Line pylons, which support the return strand of the rope, in the form of a gallows, offset laterally by compared to the strand, to allow free passage of a skier gripping the strand of dragging on the side of the pylon. These pylons, for example tubular, carry support rollers of the return strand and they are equipped with the usual safety devices, such as anti-derailers.
The rope drive is carried by a vertical end pylon on arrival and it has a gearmotor whose shaft carries a drive pulley the rope. The same pylon advantageously carries the rope tension, for example a mobile counterweight along of the pylon.
neige, quelques mètres au-delà de l'emplacement de départ 11.In the figures a
The
14.One or
A l'extrémité
notamment les poulies d'extrémité 16.Referring more particularly to FIG. 9, we see
a safety device in the form of a
The operation of the dragging device emerges from the previous presentation:
