Abstract
Ein Verfahren zur Regelung der Laufruhe eines Mehrzylinder-Verbrennungsmotors abhängig von einem Meßwert der Laufunruhe mit einer über eine Regeleinrichtung regelbaren Stellgröße zur Beeinflussung des Laufruheverhaltens ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Stellgröße in kleinen Schritten in Richtung einer vergrößerten Laufunruhe verstellt wird, wenn der Meßwert der Laufunruhe einen ruhigeren Lauf als ein vorgegebener Schwellwert für die Laufunruhe anzeigt, und daß die Stellgröße in einem größeren Schritt in Richtung einer verkleinerten Laufunruhe verstellt wird, wenn der Meßwert der Laufunruhe einen unruhigeren Lauf als der Schwellwert anzeigt. Als Stellgröße wird vorzugsweise das Luft-/Kraftstoffverhältnis eines Verbrennungsmotorgemisches verwendet. Damit kann der Verbrennungsmotor nahe an der Laufunruheschwelle betrieben werden, wobei eine schnelle Anpassung an sich verändernde Motorbetriebsbedingungen gewährleistet ist. Insbesondere im Magerbetrieb des Motors können so die Stickoxidrohemissionen reduziert werden. A method for regulating the smooth running of a multi-cylinder internal combustion engine as a function of a measured value of the rough running with a manipulated variable that can be controlled via a control device to influence the smooth running behavior is characterized in that the manipulated variable is adjusted in small steps in the direction of increased smooth running when the measured value of the rough running indicates a calmer run than a predetermined threshold value for uneven running, and that the manipulated variable is adjusted in a larger step in the direction of reduced uneven running if the measured value of the uneven running indicates a more uneven run than the threshold value. The air / fuel ratio of an internal combustion engine mixture is preferably used as the manipulated variable. The internal combustion engine can thus be operated close to the uneven running threshold, with rapid adaptation to changing engine operating conditions being ensured. In this way, the raw nitrogen oxide emissions can be reduced, in particular when the engine is lean.
