Abstract

Ein Verfahren zur Regelung der Laufruhe eines Mehrzylinder-Verbrennungsmotors abhängig von einem Meßwert der Laufunruhe mit einer über eine Regeleinrichtung regelbaren Stellgröße zur Beeinflussung des Laufruheverhaltens ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Stellgröße in kleinen Schritten in Richtung einer vergrößerten Laufunruhe verstellt wird, wenn der Meßwert der Laufunruhe einen ruhigeren Lauf als ein vorgegebener Schwellwert für die Laufunruhe anzeigt, und daß die Stellgröße in einem größeren Schritt in Richtung einer verkleinerten Laufunruhe verstellt wird, wenn der Meßwert der Laufunruhe einen unruhigeren Lauf als der Schwellwert anzeigt. Als Stellgröße wird vorzugsweise das Luft-/Kraftstoffverhältnis eines Verbrennungsmotorgemisches verwendet. Damit kann der Verbrennungsmotor nahe an der Laufunruheschwelle betrieben werden, wobei eine schnelle Anpassung an sich verändernde Motorbetriebsbedingungen gewährleistet ist. Insbesondere im Magerbetrieb des Motors können so die Stickoxidrohemissionen reduziert werden.

In this way, the raw nitrogen oxide emissions can be reduced, in particular when the engine is lean.
