Abstract

The device drains a toilet cistern, which has a selectable full or partial flushing action, and has an overflow pipe in the form of a drain valve (9). The lower end of the latter has a valve plate (11) which can be placed on a seat (12) in a drain opening (13). A float chamber (8) is arranged at a distance above the seat, and has an opening (18) near its base, at a distance below at least one valve opening (19). The drain valve is supported by a main float (15), which is arranged inside the chamber, and which has an auxiliary float (20). The latter can move relative to the main float, and acts as a blocking element for the drain valve. This valve is connected to an operating device for the full flush, and also via the auxiliary float and a driving element (24,25) which can engage with it, to an operating device for the partial flush.
