      characterized in that the seat surface (1) rests on a front and a rear supporting rod (30, 51), the front supporting rod (30) being connected in an articulated manner to outer flanks (12) and to at least one inner strip (31) at the front end thereof and at the opposite end to a guide bar (46), and the rear supporting rod (51) being connected in an articulated manner by at least one connecting flank (48) to the backrest (2), the connecting flank (48) sharing a main rotating spindle (10) with the outer flanks (12).
    6. Chair according to Claim 5, characterized in that the main rotating spindle (10) is arranged between the front supporting rod (30) and the guide bar (46.1, 46.2).
    7. Chair according to Claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the guide bar (46.1, 46.2) is of triangular design, and in each corner a rotating spindle (44, 45, 47) is provided together with the outer flanks (12), inner strip (31) and connecting flanks (48.1, 48.2).
    8. Chair according to one of Claims 5 - 7,
      characterized in that the front and rear supporting rods (30, 51) are held in a slot (50) in the outer flanks (12) and in an elongated hole (49) in the connecting flanks (48.1, 48.2).
    9. Chair according to at least one of Claims 5 - 8, characterized in that the front supporting rod (30) is supported against a spring, in particular a gas compression spring (28) which is mounted in a positionally fixed manner at the other end.
    10. Chair according to Claim 9, characterized in that the positionally fixed mounting takes place on a supporting frame (7) which is placed on the chair post (4).
    11. Chair according to at least one of Claims 5 - 10, characterized in that the inner strip (31.1, 31.2) is supported against a spring (34).
    12. Chair according to Claim 11, characterized in that the spring (34) is supported at one end against a supporting tongue (33.1, 33.2) connected to the inner strip (31.1, 31.2), and at the other end against a counterbearing (35.1, 35.2) arranged on a rail (36).
    13. Chair according to Claim 12, characterized in that the rail (36) is arranged on a guide (37), and the spring force can be set by a locking bar (39).
    14. Chair according to Claim 13, characterized in that the locking bar (39) rotates at one end about a pivot (40) and at the other end is under the pressure of a screw (41) passing through the inner strip (31.1, 31.2).
    15. Chair according to Claim 14, characterized in that the locking bar (39) has, in the region of the rail (36), an elongated hole (43) in which a pin (42) engages.
    16. Chair according to at least one of Claims 5 - 15, characterized in that the outer flanks (12.1, 12.2) can be inclined about the main rotating spindle (10).
    17. Chair according to Claim 16, characterized in that a latching mechanism (20) is connected to an outer flank (12.1), a rod (13) of said latching mechanism gripping through an elongated hole (11) in brake plates (14) and being in operative connection with the latter.
    18. Chair according to Claim 17, characterized in that the rod (13) in the latching mechanism (20) has a pressure head (21) which is supported by a spring (22) and can be displaced by an eccentric (23).
    19. Chair according to Claim 17 or 18, characterized in that the rod (13) is connected to a pressure plate (16) and then reaches through the brake plates (14) which can be pressed by the pressure plate (16) against a counterplate (17).
    20. Chair according to Claim 19, characterized in that the brake plates (14) are mounted at the other end in an articulated manner on the main rotating spindle (10) and on a bolt (15).
