Abstract

Um Qualitätsschwankungen zu minimieren, die beim Wickeln von Stabstahl in einem Drehkorbhaspel (10) durch einen schlechten Füllgrad und lose aneinander liegende Windungen auftreten können, und die zu schlechter Transportfähigkeit des erzeugten Bundes (9) führen, wird gemäß der Erfindung vorgeschlagen, durch besonders dichtes Wickeln mit nachfolgendem Kompaktieren im Haspelkorb und Verfestigung der Außenwindungen (5) durch Kühlen mit einer Kühlflüssigkeit während des Ausbringens aus dem Haspelkorb ein Bund (9) zu erzeugen, der so kompakt und stabilisiert ist, daß ein sicherer Transport ohne zusätzliche Stütz- und Haltevorrichtungen ermöglicht wird.
