Abstract

Automatic signalling device at fixed intervals, comprising a timer (3) connected to an acoustic and/or optical device which generates a warning signal at a predetermined frequency, the signaling device being provided with an electric power source, said components being housed in a plastic material body (1) having a laminar stretcher in right rectangular configuration, having on one of its sides a loop or eyelet (2) through which a cord can be passed, said body being configurable as the cover of a box (6) of similar size and optionally being provided with a selector (5) for selecting the hour interval, and a casing (7) accessible for changing the batteries.

Description

This invention relates to automatic signalling device at fixed intervals, which the user can hang on his neck , with the form of a plate or card, or being configurable as the cover of a box. It includes means to generate an acoustic or optical warning for the user in order to remind him of a predetermined action, as the time to take a medicament or any other kind of action. So, the user doesn't need to memorise this action.
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention has its application in the field of industries that make apparatus, alarm devices and similar ones.
PREVIOUS STATE OF THE ART
The applicant has no notice of the existence of any device, apparatus or element which function are clearly an alarm device to remind the user taking a medicine, or other kind of action that must be memorised to be done at a predetermined frequency.
DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The automatic signaling device at fixed intervals that the invention relates is itself an evident novelty in its field of utilisation.
Concretely, the automatic signaling device at fixed intervals comprise a plate or card, that can optionally be configurable as the cover of a box. In it are included means to generate an acoustic or optical warning for the user in order to remind the user a predetermined action, as the time to take a medicament or any other kind of action. So, the user doesn't need to memorise this action.
The signaling device includes a timer that activates means that generate an acoustic and/or optical warning with a predetermined frequency, and including also a power source as batteries or any other.
The object of the invention is the realisation of a simple and cheaper device, that can be used by any kind of persons, without the need of any especial knowledge and maintenance, needing this device only a starting through a very simple way, and being its running automatic salve the replacement of flat batteries.
According with the above explained, when it is due, the warning starts for a predetermined time, but it can be stopped by a handled action, as could be an embrace with a hand or by means of a pressure device over the card.
The automatic signalling device at fixed intervals that is claimed, can have many variations. It can be an use-and-drop, housed in a plastic material body, with the appearance, strengthens and thickness of a credit card. The size could be near 3.5 to 3.5 cm, with a loop or eyelet to through which a cord or chain can be wearable on the neck. Each predetermined time this advice warn the user.
This apparatus can be designed to each fixed interval, or it can be designed as a sole apparatus having four or more warning devices, when any one is active the others are on stand by.
In a second embodiment the alarm device could have the same dimensions, shape and characteristics as the latter one, but being housed in a spherical or disc shaped pendant, or in a box, with the possibility of changing the selection of time intervals and battery replacement
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS.
In order to make easier the comprehension of the invention , it is joined three figures:
  • Figure 1: is a front view of the automatic signaling device type with a single kind of using.
  • Figure 2 : Is a inside-box type signaling device.
  • Figure 3 : It is a continuous using signaling device.
  • PREFERRED EMBODIMENT
Looking at the figures it can be observed that the automatic signalling device at fixed intervals comprises a moulded material body, having the shape of laminar card (1) fitted with a loop or eyelet (2), through which a cord (not drawn nor referenced) can be passed and so the apparatus can be hanged around the neck.
The invention comprises the plate (1) including a timer (3) that activates a optical and/or acoustic device(4), with a predetermined frequency.
Autonomy is given by a power feeder, i.e. batteries.
Figure 2 represents the signalling with the little plate or laminar card (1), configured as the cover of a box (6) of similar size, but with more thickness.
Figure 3 shows the continuous using version, that includes a time lap selector (5), and a device (7) to change batteries.
In this embodiment there is a surface (8) that can be drawn anagrams, acronyms and/or advertising.
The timer will need a precision measuring time laps of +/- 15 minutes, along all its life, between 5° C and 40° C.
The timer mechanism will be housed in a plastic body (ABS, PVC,...) with the appropriate strength to the, for each embodiment, forecast life.
This invention can be realised with any other embodiments, only differing on details from this, described as an example.

    Claims (3)

    1. Automatic signalling device at fixed intervals, comprising a timer (3) connected to an acoustic and/or optical device (4) which generates a warning signal at a predetermined frequency, the signaling device being provided with batteries as electric power source , characterised in that components are housed in a plastic material body (1) having a laminar stretcher in right rectangular configuration, which size is approximately 3.5 cm. x 3.5 cm , having on one of its sides a loop or eyelet (2) through which a cord can be passed.
    2. Automatic signaling device at fixed intervals according to the 1st claim, characterised in that the plastic body (1), is the cover of a box (6) of similar size, and having this box approximately one cm of thickness.
    3. Automatic signalling device at fixed intervals according to the 1st and 2nd claims characterised in that the body (1) is provided with a selector (5) for selecting the hour interval, and a casing (7) accessible for changing the batteries.
