    1. A plug for electrically connecting to a socket (17), notably of the cigarette lighter type of an automotive vehicle, intended to be adapted to various diameters of the socket (17), comprised between a minimum and a maximum diameter, said plug comprising:
      an internal sleeve (10),
      an external sleeve (12) surrounding the internal sleeve,
      at least one locking finger (14) positioned on the outside of the plug,
      a displacement means permitting to radially displace the locking finger for adapting to the diameter of the socket (17), characterized in that
         the displacement means is formed by a rotary means for radially extracting at least one part of the locking finger (14) by a relative rotary movement between the inner sleeve (10) and the outer sleeve (12) of the plug.
    2. The plug as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that there is provided a blocking means (13) for blocking the rotary displacement means to block the rotation of one sleeve relative to another.
    3. The plug as claimed in claim 2, characterized in that the blocking means (13) is formed by a first series of teeth along the outside perimeter of the inner sleeve resiliently co-operating with a second series of teeth for the inside perimeter of the outer sleeve (12).
    4. The plug as claimed in claim 1, characterized in that the rotary means comprises a cam element which has a cam profile (18) firmly attached to at least one of the sleeves, intended to co-operate with the locking finger.
    5. The plug as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the cam profile (18) is firmly attached to the inner sleeve and the locking finger (14) is firmly attached to the outer sleeve.
    6. The plug as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the cam profile (18) is firmly attached to the outer sleeve (12) and the locking finger (14) is firmly attached to the inner sleeve (10).
    7. The plug as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the cam profile (18) which is firmly attached to a sleeve has studs along at least one part of the length of said finger.
    8. The plug as claimed in claim 4, characterized in that the cam profile (18) firmly attached to a sleeve has notches notably in the form of an inclined plane along at least one part of the length of said finger.
    9. A plug as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the rotary displacement means influences the locking finger (14) when the latter comes against a return spring.
    10. A plug as claimed in one of the claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the locking finger (14) is at least partly resilient.
    11. A plug as claimed in one of the claims I to 10, characterized in that the locking finger (14) has an electrically conducting part intended to co-operate with an electric contact of the socket.
    12. A plug as claimed in one of the claims I to 11, characterized in that one end of a sleeve (10, 12) has an electrically conducting part intended to co-operate with an electric contact of the socket (17).
