Claims (16)

Verfahren zur Herstellung von für das Walzen von Langprodukten, insbesondere von Draht, Profilstahl, Stabstahl, Schienen oder dergleichen geeigneten Strängen mit Hilfe einer Stranggießanlage mit Gießkokille,
dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß der Strang bei Beginn seiner Erstarrung in der Kokille (1) ein Rundformat oder auch Ovalformat (6) aufweist und dieses Rundformat oder Ovalformat bei der Ausförderung über die restliche Kokillenlänge bis zum Kokillenaustritt auf ein im wesentlichen umfanggleiches Vielkant- oder Profil-Strangformat (8; 8.1) eingeformt wird.
