Abstract

Valveless single or multistage reversible positive displacement machine for fluids comprising a rotary piston. The invention concerns a rotary piston assembly with an eccentric rotational axis (3) moving radially within a compression chamber (2), the inner volume being composed of two half-cylinders at each end of a parallelipiped rectangle rotating at half the rotational speed of the piston. There is no mechanical contact, between the rotary piston and the combustion chamber. Synchronisation is provided by means of gear drive (5). The piston, compression chamber and drive assembly is enclosed in a housing (1) with, at one end, two ports (5) for fluid intake and discharge alternately opening or closing according to the position of the piston in relation to the chamber. The machine can be used as a fluid compressor, motor, or fluid pump.
