Abstract

Ce système d'insertion vidéo en direct permet de placer de manière efficace des images statiques (186) ou dynamiques dans une émission émise en direct. Ce système identifie d'abord des points de repère naturels dans la scène vidéo, lesquels peuvent être automatiquement identifiés et suivis lorsque le champ de visée de la caméra effectue un panoramique de la scène ou fait un zoom sur un élément de celle-ci. Les emplacements des points de repère sont mathématiquement modélisés et conservés en tant que constellation d'emplacements sur une grille mathématique. Un point de référence arbitraire, de préférence ne coïncidant pas nécessairement avec un point de repère naturel choisi, est placé dans la grille ou à l'extérieur de celle-ci, puis utilisé en tant que point d'origine dans le but d'insérer l'image statique (186) ou dynamique dans le champ de visée de la caméra. Pour des images statiques, il est fréquemment souhaitable de placer un bord ou une extrémité de l'image à insérer sur le point de référence. Pour des insertions d'images dynamiques, la distance entre le point de référence et l'image dynamique insérée est automatiquement changée de trame en trame, de manière à faire apparaître l'image comme si elle subissait une translation ou un changement, ou les deux.
