Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Dichtanordnung für die Ränder eines Wandelements, insbesondere eines Wandelements einer Ölwanne für eine Brennkraftmaschine, das mit einer Ecke (16) ausgebildet ist. Die Dichtanordnung besteht aus einer entlang der Ränder des Wandelements in Nuten (6,7) eingelegten Dichtung (3,5), die mit Rändern eines komplementären Wandelements zusammenwirkt, das insbesondere aus Wandstücken eines Kurbelgehäuses und eines Geräteträgers einer Brennkraftmaschine zusammengesetzt ist. Um eine einwandfreie Abdichtung zu erzielen, ist entlang einer im Eckbereich (16) von den Dichtflächen der Ränder gebildeten Kante (16) in einer Ausnehmung ein in Richtung des Kantenverlaufs angeordneter Dichtungsabschnitt (4) vorgesehen, der mit Dichtkräften quer zu seiner Erstreckungsrichtung beaufschlagt ist. Die in den Rändern verlaufenden Dichtungsabschnitte beiderseits der Kante (16) liegen in quer zur Erstreckungsrichtung versetzten Nuten.

The invention relates to a sealing arrangement for the edges of a wall element, in particular a wall element of an oil pan for an internal combustion engine, which is designed with a corner (16). The sealing arrangement consists of a seal (3, 5) inserted along the edges of the wall element in grooves (6, 7), which cooperates with the edges of a complementary wall element, which is composed in particular of wall pieces of a crankcase and a device carrier of an internal combustion engine. In order to achieve a perfect seal, a sealing section (4) is provided in a recess along an edge (16) formed in the corner area (16) by the sealing surfaces of the edges and is subjected to sealing forces transversely to its direction of extension. The sealing sections running in the edges on both sides of the edge (16) lie in grooves offset transversely to the direction of extension.
