Abstract

Claims (10)

  1. Vice device of the type including, on the one hand, a framework (1) having a resting plane, said resting plane of the framework being able to be made integral with a flat support and bearing a fixed chuck jaw (10) and, on the other hand, a movable jaw (2) comprising a body (3) and a chuck jaw (4), characterised in that it includes one single rack (12) in the shape of an arch of a circle arranged on a plane perpendicular to said resting plane of the framework (1), said movable chuck jaw (4) being hinged about an axis of pivoting (14), parallel to said resting plane of the framework (1) and coaxial to said rack (12), with a possibility of being blocked on the latter through one single movable pawl (6) in said body (3), provided with catches (61) at its end located in front of said rack (12), restored in the direction of the latter by at least one spring (62) and capable of being actuated by a lever (51) hinged on said body (3), about an axis (14) passing through the body (3) and parallel to said resting plane of the framework (1), the hinged end of said lever (51) being connected to a cam (50) resting on the rear portion (43) of said movable chuck jaw (4) in order to allow separating the latter from said body (3) in the direction of said fixed chuck jaw (10).
  2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the pawl (6) is accommodated in a chamber (35) radial to the axis of pivoting (14) of the movable jaw (2), and is connected to the cam (50) so that the rotation of the latter, in the direction (H) in which the movable chuck jaw (4) comes closer to the body (3), causes the spring (62) to compress, which pushes back the pawl (6) in the direction of the rack (12).
  3. Device according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that the cam (50) consists of a half-round part that is not coaxial to its axis of pivoting (5) and a portion of which is inscribed in a notch (63) provided for in the central area of the pawl (6), the curved wall (53) of said cam (50) entering into contact with the movable chuck jaw (4), while its flat wall (52) can rest against the upper edge (63') of said notch (63).
  4. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the chuck jaws (4, 10) have complementary V-shaped profiles, the chuck jaw (10) of the framework (1) being concave and the chuck jaw (4) of the movable jaw (2) being convex.
  5. Vice device of the type including a framework (7) having a resting plane, said resting plane of the framework (1) being able to be made integral with a flat support and including a fixed chuck jaw (74) perpendicular to the resting plane of the framework (1) and a movable jaw (20) comprising a body (36) and a chuck jaw (44) movable with respect to said body (36), characterised in that it includes one single rack (76) arranged on a plane parallel to said resting plane of the framework (1) and in that said jaw (20) is mounted so as to be capable of sliding parallel to said rack (76) through guides (21) integral with the body (36) of said movable jaw (20), while the chuck jaw (44) of the latter can freely slide on said guides (21) and said movable jaw (20) can be blocked on the rack (70) through one single movable pawl (6') in said body (36), provided with catches (67) at its end located in front of said rack (76), restored in the direction of the latter by at least one spring (68) and capable of being actuated by a lever (8) hinged on said body (36), about an axis (88) passing through the body (36) and parallel to said resting plane of the framework (1), the hinged end of said lever (8) being connected to a cam (55) resting on the rear portion (45) of said movable chuck jaw (44) in order to allow separating the latter from said body (36) in the direction of said fixed chuck jaw (74).
  6. Device according to claim 5, characterised in that the guides (21) are tubular parts that slide on parallel bars (75) integral with the framework (7).
  7. Device according to claim 5 or claim 6, characterised in that the hinged end (80) of the lever (8) includes two coaxial discs (81) separated by a space (82) and drilled with a hole (83) for the passing through of the axis of pivoting (88) on the body (36), said space (82) being aimed at accommodating a disc (55) rotationally mounted on said axis (88), made integral with said lever (8) and having, over about one fourth of its circumference, a cam portion (57) the radius of which is not constant and increases from the top downwards.
  8. Device according to claim 7, characterised in that the pawl (6') is movable in a recess (38) provided for in the body (36) and opening in front of the rack (76), said pawl (6') being in the form of a clamp and including a cross bar (64) topped with two parallel posts (65) each provided, at their end, with a restoring spring (68) and each having, at their inner edge, in a substantially median position, a notch (66), while the cross bar (64) has, at its lower edge and centrally, catches (67) ; and in that the hinged end (80) of the lever (8) laterally includes pawls (84) each positioning itself in one of said notches (66) of the posts (65), against the upper edges (66') of which they abut, when said lever (8) raises, in order to compress the springs (68).
  9. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the cam (5 ; 55) is made integral with the lever (51 ; 8) through a retractable pawl (85).
  10. Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the framework (1) includes, at its periphery, evenly spaced holes (18) aimed at allowing making said framework (1) integral with a flat support by means of a fastening device (9) comprising, on the one hand, two parallel rods (92, 93) aimed at being inserted into two of said holes (18) ; and, on the other hand, a fastening means (95) on the flat support on which said framework (1) rests.
