Abstract

The connector connects together the ends of two conductors (12) whose cores (15) are surrounded by insulation (14). These are held in the curved wings (10) of a tapered C-section receptacle (2) by a wedge (6) driven into an insert (4) having two active edges (18) on which serrations (22) are set up for penetration of the insulating coatings. The insert is forced between the leading edges (9) of the receptacle. Its active edges define two cavities applicable to the outer surfaces of the respective conductors.
