Base according to Claim 1, characterized in that the said support (12) carries means (18) of unidirectional retention of the said support (12) on a bodywork element (19) of the vehicle, the directions in which the means of retention (18) and the mounting means (17, 117) are operational being the same but having opposite senses.
  3. Base according to Claim 2, characterized in that the means of retention (18) are elastic clipping means housed in a groove (20) made in the exterior surface of a positioning zone (21) of the said support (12) which extends along the cylindrical skirt (13).
  4. Base according to Claim 3, characterized in that the positioning zone (21) is located plumb with the bodywork element (19) which exhibits an opening (22) which is traversed by the positioning zone (21), the positioning zone (21) and the opening (22) having matching cross-sections, to within mounting play.

  6. Base according to Claims 3 and 5, characterized in that the means of retention (18) run along two parallel sides of the opening (22) in two parallel grooves (20) of the positioning zone (21).
  7. Base according to one of Claims 3 to 6, characterized in that the positioning zone carries a pilot peg (23) running axially in a pilot notch (24) made on an edge of the opening (22) of the bodywork element (19).
  8. Base according to one of Claims 1 to 7 characterized in that the mounting means (17, 117) consist of a ring with interior lip (25, 125) arranged axially between a transverse span (26, 126) of the nut support (16, 116) and the lock nut (15, 115).
  9. Base according to one of Claims 2 to 8, characterized in that the bodywork element (19) is metallic and a metal earth washer (27) with claws (28) is arranged axially between the bodywork element (19) and the nut support (16, 116) which is also metallic.
  10. Base according to one of Claims 1 to 9, characterized in that the nut support (16, 116) is provided with a central duct (29, 129) and with a channel (30, 130) with a U-shaped cross-section arranged transversely with respect to the duct (29, 129) into which it emerges, the duct (29, 129) and the channel (30, 130) defining an L-shaped passage for the antenna cable, the duct (29, 129) running in the support (12) and in the cylindrical skirt (13) along their axis and the channel (30, 130) passing through a longitudinal notch (31) provided in the wall of the skirt (13).
  11. Base according to Claim 10, characterized in that a radially elastic cylindrical annulus (33) is arranged between the support (12) and the duct (29).
  12. Base according to Claim 10, characterized in that a cover (32, 132) closes the channel (30, 130).
  13. Base according to one of Claims 1 to 12, characterized in that the nut support (16) is secured to a casing (34) intended to receive electrical means (35) associated with the antenna.
  14. Base according to Claims 12 and 13, characterized in that the cover (32) also closes the casing (34).
  15. Base according to one of Claims 10 to 14, characterized in that means of electrical insulation (36, 136, 37, 137) are arranged around the antenna cable inside the duct (29, 129) and the channel (30, 130).
