Abstract

L'invention porte sur un système de ballast pour lampe, comportant un redresseur de courant c.a. d'entrée à une première fréquence (par exemple 50 ou 60 Hz) produisant un courant c.c. pulsé, un convertisseur c.c./c.c. convertissant le courant c.c. pulsé en courant c.c. quasiment constant (à faible pourcentage d'ondulation), puis un convertisseur c.c./c.a. à haute fréquence lié à un transformateur transformant la tension c.c. en courant c.a. de sortie excitant la lampe, le courant c.a. de sortie présentant une deuxième fréquence plus élevée que la première. Le système de ballast comporte en outre un premier circuit de commande qui commande le convertisseur c.c./c.c. à une première fréquence de commutation, et un deuxième circuit de commande qui commande le convertisseur c.c./c.a. à haute fréquence à une deuxième fréquence de commutation (par exemple > 1 MHz) de préférence au moins 10 fois plus élevée que la deuxième fréquence (à laquelle la lampe est alimentée).
