Abstract

La présente invention concerne un bouchon destiné à l'utilisation avec une cupule acétabulaire pourvue d'un alésage spécial. Ce bouchon permet d'éviter que des débris (par exemple des débris polymères) ne pénètrent à travers un quelconque trou de la cupule et il peut être retiré de la cupule, si nécessaire. Ce bouchon est en métal et il s'adapte au trou grâce à la pression réciproque exercée entre trou et bouchon. L'invention concerne également un procédé permettant d'éviter que des débris ne passent à travers un trou de cupule acétabulaire et ne pénètrent à l'intérieur du corps d'un patient.
