Abstract

Description

Die Erfindung geht aus von einer Schließe für Schmuckketten mit den im Oberbegriff des Anspruchs 1 angegebenen Merkmalen. Eine solche Schließe ist aus DE-74 12 327 U bekannt. Die bekannte Schließe hat einen an einem Kettenende befestigten geschlossenen Ring und einen am anderen Ende der Kette mittels einer Öse befestigten offenen Ring, in welchen der geschlossene Ring an einer um 90° gegenüber der Öse versetzten Stelle einführbar ist, wozu der offene Ring einen radialen Schlitz hat, der enger ist als der geschlossene Ring dick ist, so daß dieser nur unter Aufbiegen des offenen Ringes in diesen eingeführt werden kann. Bei größeren Schließen, wie sie für voluminöse Ketten, insbesondere Perlenketten, benötigt werden, erfordert diese Wirkungsweise eine dünne, schwache Ausbildung des Ringes, wodurch dieser labil und unattraktiv wird. Nach der Offenbatung in der DE-74 12 327 U ist die Schließe deshalb nur für feinstgliedrige Schmuckketten bestimmt. Bei der erfindungsgemäßen Schließe muß die zwischen den beiden Enden des ringförmigen Gebildes bestehende Öffnung nicht elastisch aufgeweitet werden, um den am zweiten Ende der Schmuckkette angebrachten Ring einzuführen, weil die lichte Weite der Öffnung zwischen den beiden Enden des ringförmigen Gebildes nicht kleiner ist als die Dicke des einzuführenden Rings. Deswegen kann das ringförmige Gebilde so stabil ausgebildet werden, daß es bei der bestimmungsgemäßen Handhabung und den im täglichen Gebrauch auftretenden typischen Belastungen als starr angesehen werden kann. Bleibende Verformungen sind deshalb im praktischen Gebrauch nicht zu befürchten. Weil eine leichte Aufbiegbarkeit nicht vorgesehen sein muß, werden dem Schmuckgestalter zusätzliche Möglichkeiten für eine Gestaltung der Schließe nach ästhetischen Gesichtspunkten eröffnet. So kann der Ring ohne weiteres eine von der Kreisform abweichende Gestalt haben und hat vorzugsweise auch eine von der Kreisform abweichende Gestalt. Unter einem "ringförmigen Gebilde" im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung ist nicht notwendig ein in der Draufsicht kreisförmiges Gebilde zu verstehen, sondern es sind auch von der Kreisform stark abweichende Gestalten darunter zu verstehen, soweit sie nur in der Draufsicht einen Freiraum vollständig umschließen. Das vollständige Umschließen soll durch eine Überlappung der beiden Enden des ringförmigen Gebildes erfolgen, wobei die Überlappung dadurch erfolgen soll, daß die beiden Enden des ringförmigen Gebildes einen Versatz quer zu der vom ringförmigen Gebilde umschlossenen Fläche aufweisen. Dieser Querversatz ist für die Schließsicherheit wesentlich. Einen Versatz der beiden Enden eines ringförmigen Gebildes in der Ebene der von dem Gebilde umschlossenen Fläche zeigt die GB-2 269 627 A; deshalb muß bei der daraus bekannten Schließe die lichte Weite der Öffnung, durch die der Ring in die Schließe eingeführt werden kann, so eng bemessen sein, daß der Ring nur unter elastischer Verformung eingeführt und wieder herausbewegt werden kann. Durch den erfindungsgemäß vorgesehenen Querversatz, ähnlich wie bei einer Wendel, erreicht man jedoch, daß der Ring bei hängender Schließe den Weg durch die im Überlappungsbereich liegende Öffnung nicht selbsttätig findet, obwohl das ringförmige Gebilde zum Öffnen der Schließe nicht elastisch aufgebogen werden muß. Die Lage der Öse relativ zur Lage des Überlappungsbereichs wird zweckmäßigerweise so gewählt, daß der Weg, den der Ring zurücklegen muß, um von einer beim Tragen einer Schmuckkette normalen Lage zur Öffnung zu gelangen, hinreichend lang ist.
