Abstract

The equipment comprise plates of hard plastics foam, and which are compressed elastically in the transverse direction and at right angles to the spars. Each bears via a lengthwise outer strip against one of the spars. They are thrust between the spars and into a common plane. Each plate (3,4) is placed obliquely via its strip (7) against its respective spar, the two plates including an angle of less than 180 degrees, with their inner lengthwise edges (8) bearing against each other. The tongue (9) on one fits inside the groove (10) in the other so as to form a hinge, and pressure is then applied to them at their inner edges so as to swing them into a common plane between the spars. They can be initially installed with their outer lengthwise strips protruding in front of the spars.

Description

The invention relates to a method for producing an intermediate rafter insulation, which has two insulating boards between two rafters in a common plane, which consist of a plastic hard foam, are elastically compressed in a transverse direction perpendicular to the rafters and have an elastic material compressibility in the transverse direction, each with an outer longitudinal end strip abuts one of the two rafters and which lie opposite one another with inner longitudinal end strips which are provided with tongue and groove which interlock, in which the two insulating boards are pressed together with their inner longitudinal end strips facing each other over their width assigned to the transverse direction and in which the two insulation boards are pushed into a position between the two rafters in which they are in a common plane.

The invention also relates to insulation boards for carrying out the method, which consist of a rigid plastic foam, are delimited by two longitudinal end strips, one of which has a groove or a tongue, and can be elastically compressed transversely to the longitudinal end strips and in which the tongue and the groove - seen in cross section - taper towards the free end or the bottom and the longitudinal end strips provided with the tongue or groove are delimited by two surface edges.

It is known (EP-OS 0 019 058) to arrange the groove and the tongue centrally and at a considerable distance from the two surface edge edges and to provide the insulation board with a large number of cuts. When producing an intermediate rafter insulation, the two Insulation boards placed in a common plane with the tongue and groove interlocking and then pressed together over their width by pressure against the two outer longitudinal end strips in such a way that they can be pushed between the two rafters. Since the compression is done by hand and should be done with as little force as possible, the incisions are provided. To compress the width of the two insulation boards, pressure must be exerted by hand on the outer longitudinal face, which is perceived as annoying.

An object of the invention is therefore to provide a method of the type mentioned and suitable insulation boards of the type mentioned, in which the pressure for compressing the insulation boards to a wide extent is simplified and the insertion of the insulation boards between the rafters is simplified .
The method according to the invention is to achieve this object, characterized in that each insulation board with the outer longitudinal end strips is placed obliquely on the associated rafters and the two insulation boards are formed at an angle <180 ° with the inner longitudinal end strips so that the groove and the The spring rests against each other like a joint, and that the two insulation boards are pressed into the common plane between the rafters by pressure directed transversely to them near the inner longitudinal end strips while rotating the joint.
The insulation panels according to the invention are characterized in order to achieve the object in that the tapering tongue and the tapering groove are arranged so that they are displaced towards one edge of the surface in such a way that they form a joint when the insulation panels are angled.

According to the invention, the two insulation boards are compressed in width by a pressure perpendicular to the transverse direction, which can be easily applied by hand. Both insulation boards are supported on the rafters with the outer longitudinal end strips. It is only necessary to reduce the width of the two insulation boards by the amount necessary to give the insulation boards located in a common plane the tension required for the hold between the two rafters. The modification of the insulation panels required for this mounting method is relatively small and has the consequence that the tongue and groove structure is assigned to the function of a joint in addition to the locking function, in which the tongue rolls under flat contact in the groove.

It is particularly expedient and advantageous if the insulation boards in the position in which they are located in a common plane between the two rafters initially only bear against the roof rafters with a part of the width, and if the insulation boards angled to one another with the outer longitudinal end strips cantilevered against the rafters. In this case, the support of the insulation boards on the rafters is improved when the two inner longitudinal end strips are swung in. The thickness of the insulation boards pressed into a common plane is then pushed completely between the two rafters.

In the method according to the invention it is therefore particularly expedient and advantageous that the rafters face each other at the front rafters edges and that each of the two insulation boards with the outer longitudinal end strip is applied to the associated front rafters edge and when pressing the insulation boards into the common plane around the rafter edge as is rotated around an axis. These measures illustrate the simplified assembly method.

The invention also includes the intermediate rafter insulation produced by the method according to the invention and consisting of the insulation panels according to the invention. The invention is further described below with the aid of the insulation boards.

It is possible to give the cross section of the groove and the tongue an angular shape; there is then a risk that parts of the spring break off during assembly. The groove and tongue are therefore generally rounded in cross section. It is conceivable for the rounded tongue and groove to extend over the entire width of the inner longitudinal end faces. As a rule, however, the tongue and groove are limited to 5-50% of the width of the longitudinal end faces, since the rotatability of the joint or hinge is then made easier when the insulation boards are pushed straight.

Since the compressibility of the insulation boards in terms of width is simplified in the invention, incisions are therefore not necessary. It is particularly expedient and advantageous if the insulation boards are completely full over their width, i.e. are free of incisions. The insulation boards are therefore free of cuts and can only be compressed in width by compressing the material. The slot-free insulation boards are stiffer in themselves and do not tend to bend.

The insulation boards according to the invention are generally 40-240 mm thick. They are elasticized in the transverse direction, ie in the width direction, ie elastically compressible, with the plastic being expanded. The expanded rigid plastic foam is usually made of polystyrene and has a bulk density of 8 kg / m 3 - 50 kg / m 3 . It is particularly expedient and advantageous if the rigid plastic foam has a dynamic stiffness s' of 3 MN / m 3 - 250 MN / m 3 , in particular 10-80 MN / m 3 . With this dynamic stiffness there is a satisfactory elastic compressibility of the material.

Each insulation board generally has a projection / recess design on both transverse end strips, with which two insulating plates placed one against the other on the transverse end strips engage. The projection / recess design is, for example, a tongue and groove design or a gradation or a step fold. Each insulation board is, for example, in one piece across its thickness or glued together from two or more layers.

According to the drawing, the intermediate rafter insulation comprises two rafters 1, which are made of wood, are elongated, are rectangular in cross section, are parallel to one another, turn towards each other, and form essentially flat or non-profiled surfaces. Along the two rafters 1, several sequences of two insulation boards 3, 4 are arranged one behind the other. The insulation panels of two adjacent sequences each interlock with a projection / recess configuration 5, which is assigned to the transverse end strips 6 of the insulation panels 3, 4. The two insulation boards 3, 4 of each sequence are in the transverse direction, i.e. between the two rafters 1 usually of different lengths and also of different lengths from sequence to sequence.

Each insulation board 3, 4 has two longitudinal end strips 7, 8 running in the direction of the rafters 1, each of which the outer, that is to say one of the rafters 1 assigned longitudinal end strips 7 is a flat or non-profiled surface and rests slidably on one of the surfaces of the rafters . The thickness of the insulation board 3, 4 is less than the corresponding thickness or depth of the rafter 1. Of the two mutually facing inner longitudinal end strips 8, one is provided with a rounded, ledge-like protruding spring 9 and the other with a rounded recessed groove-like groove 10 . Each insulation board 3, 4 has two side surfaces 11, each of which is delimited by a surface edge 12 in the inner longitudinal end strip 8. The groove 10 and the spring 9 are arranged so far towards the one side surface 11 that they start at the corresponding surface edge 12.

Fig. 2 shows the two insulation boards 3, 4 during assembly in the angled arrangement, in which they are each supported with the outer longitudinal end strip 7 on the front rafter edge 2 and the groove 10 and the spring 9 interlock like a joint. By pressing in the direction of an arrow 13 against the corresponding side surfaces, the two insulation boards 3, 4 are brought out of the angled position into a common plane between the two rafters 1. According to FIG. 3, the insulation boards 3, 4 are obtained from delivery insulation boards 14, which are each provided with the tongue 9 on one long side and with the groove 10 on the other long side and are cut along a dividing plane 15 indicated by dashed lines.
