Description

The invention relates to a valve arrangement, in particular a flushing device for toilets, according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.

Such a valve arrangement is known from US Pat. No. 5,301,710 and contains a common base body with a valve housing and a strainer housing. The valve is designed as a ball valve, the spherical valve body of which is fixed in the valve housing by means of a connecting socket for the supply line. An exchange of the valve body is therefore not possible in the installed state of the valve arrangement, since the pipeline connected to the connection piece and the connection piece itself would have to be removed. The screen housing and its channel for receiving the screen is arranged at an angle in the range between 90 ° and 180 ° with respect to the axis of the valve housing and the flow channel in the interior of the base body has an approximately Z-shaped course. The inflow channel and the outflow channel are arranged essentially coaxially. In the installation position, the screen housing, which is with a cover is closed, directed downward, while the axis of rotation of the spherical valve body is aligned horizontally and the rotary handle for actuating the ball valve is located on the front side of the valve housing. A not inconsiderable space must therefore be free below the sieve housing in order to be able to remove the sieve for cleaning after removing the sieve cover. The valve arrangement requires a not inconsiderable space requirement.

Furthermore, a valve arrangement is known from German published patent application DE 41 18 213 A1, which is assigned to a flushing water line of a toilet. This valve arrangement contains a solenoid valve with a housing which has an electromagnetically adjustable valve body. The interior of the valve housing is not easily accessible, so that checks or service measures require considerable effort. Faults due to contamination, limescale deposits or the like cannot be easily remedied and ultimately require the valve to be replaced completely.

Proceeding from this, the object of the invention is to further develop the valve arrangement of the type mentioned in such a way that easy access is achieved, especially to the interior of the valve. The valve arrangement should have a functional and compact structure and ensure easy handling during assembly and installation. The manufacturing effort should be reduced to a minimum and checks or service measures should be carried out in a simple manner.

This object is achieved according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.

The valve arrangement according to the invention is characterized by a functionally appropriate construction and ensures problem-free access to the interior, which can be flowed through by water, even in the assembled state. The valve arrangement can be mounted in a connection box in such a way that the valve interior can be made easily accessible from the front. The valve housing contains an opening that can be closed with a valve cover. The actuating elements of the valve body are expediently arranged or mounted in the valve cover, these elements optionally being designed for different types of actuation, such as mechanical, electrical or hydropneumatic. The valve housing and the strainer housing, which consist in one piece from a single piece, are closed at the front by means of a cover. A separate cover is preferably provided for the valve housing and the strainer housing, so that in particular the strainer cover can be removed separately for maintenance work.

In the lid provided for closing the sieve housing, in particular in the separate sieve lid, a sieve is expediently integrated, which can be removed when the lid is removed. The sieve can no longer be "forgotten" during assembly or maintenance work. With the valve cover, the valve body and its actuating elements are fixed with respect to the valve housing. By exchanging the valve cover, different types of actuation such as manual actuation or electrical actuation can be predefined in a simple manner. Since the valve cover is arranged on the front side, the valve arrangement can be easily fitted in the assembled state for the desired type of actuation. Between the strainer housing and the valve housing there is preferably a connecting channel which opens into an annular channel of the valve housing. This ensures favorable flow guidance and / or a low pressure loss.

In an expedient embodiment, the valve arrangement furthermore contains an adjusting housing with an adjusting body for adjusting the pressure and / or the flow rate. In this way, the valve arrangement can be expediently adapted to line networks with different pressure ranges without fear of damage or destruction of the valve arrangement or downstream components.

In a special embodiment, the housing has at least one connecting flange for connecting a pipeline to the inflow duct and / or the outflow duct by means of a flange, a sealing ring being arranged between two flange surfaces. The two flanges have conical outer surfaces, which cooperate with an associated pipe clamp in such a way that when the pipe clamp is tightened, preferably via axial bracing, the sealing ring is made to provide a functionally reliable connection and seal.

Further developments and special embodiments of the invention are specified in the following description and the subclaims.

The opening 3 of the valve housing 2 can be tightly closed in the region of the front side 9 by means of a valve cover 10, as is indicated by the screws 11. The valve cover is designed here as a valve upper part of a valve which can be actuated mechanically by means of a pressure pin 12, the valve body not being shown any further. Instead of a mechanical valve, the valve cover within the scope of the invention can also contain the components of an electromagnetic valve or be designed for fixing them on the front of the valve housing 2. The screen housing 4 can also be sealed on the front side 9 by means of a screen cover 14, in which a screen 16 is also integrated. The sieve cover 14 and the sieve 16 are a firmly connected structural unit, so that the sieve is always inserted into the interior of the sieve housing 4 during assembly or during maintenance work. Screws 18 are provided for fastening and sealingly connecting the sieve cover 14 to the sieve housing 4. A sealing ring 19 between the sieve cover 14 and the sieve housing 4 serves for secure sealing. An inflow channel 20 opens into the sieve housing 4 and an outflow duct 23 leads out of the valve housing 2. The valve arrangement is preferably in the flushing water line of a toilet bowl, one Urinals or a bidet installed, the fresh water line being connected to the inflow duct 20 and a line to the outflow duct 23 being connected to the toilet bowl, the urinal or the bidet.

In a special embodiment, the housing body 8 also contains a first flange 22, through which the inflow channel 20 flows and to which a connecting body 24 for a connecting line (not shown here) can be connected. The connecting body 24 contains a further flange 26, which can be connected to the connecting flange 22 by means of a pipe clamp 28. In particular, the connection flange 22 contains in its axial end face 30 an annular groove 32 for a sealing ring 34. The two flanges 22, 26 preferably contain conical outer surfaces 36, 38, to which correspondingly conical inner surfaces of the pipe clamp 28 are assigned. The conical outer surfaces 36, 38 on the one hand and the above-mentioned, preferably conical inner surfaces of the pipe clamp 28 on the other hand are matched to one another such that when the pipe clamp 28 is tightened by means of a screw 40, the connecting flange 22 and the further flange 26 are braced against one another in the direction of the longitudinal axis 42, wherein said sealing ring 34 is biased for reliable sealing. The annular groove 32 is matched to the sealing ring 34 in such a way that the sealing ring is braced in the manner explained against the further flange 26 when the pipe clamp is tightened. In the context of the invention, a groove for partially receiving the sealing ring 34 can alternatively and / or additionally also be arranged in the axial end face of the further flange 26. The other end of the connecting body 24 is expediently designed as a receptacle and connection for a pipeline, not shown here, which serves to supply the medium, in particular the water, into the valve arrangement. The connecting body 24 preferably consists of an adhesive plastic and the pipeline to be connected is glued to the outer surface of the connecting body. Of course, other types of connection to the pipeline mentioned are also within the scope of the invention.

Im übrigen gelten obige Erläuterungen hinsichtlich der Verbindung der Rohrleitung mittels konischen Flanschen an dem ersten Verbindungskörper 24 entsprechend für den zweiten Verbindungskörper 44.Another connecting body 44 is used for connection to the outflow channel 23 and can be connected to the housing body 8 in a corresponding manner by means of a pipe clamp 48 and a screw 50. The further line can be connected to the second connecting body 44, through which the flushing water in particular can flow out into a urinal, a toilet bowl or the like. Otherwise, the above explanations apply to the connection of the pipeline by means of conical flanges on the first connecting body 24 correspondingly for the second connecting body 44.

The valve arrangement is preferably installed in a connection box 52, indicated here by dash-dotted lines. The connection box 52 has a bottom 54 and a front end face 56, which can be closed by means of a cover, not shown here. The front end face 56 lies in the region of the front 9 of the valve arrangement. According to the invention, the covers 10 and 14 are arranged in the region of the front or front 9 and are therefore easily accessible at all times, that is to say even when the valve arrangement is in the assembled state. To connect the valve arrangement to the connection box 52, the housing body contains 8 openings or through bores 58 for screws 60 which can be screwed into corresponding connection bodies 62 of the connection box 52. Thus, the attachment of the housing body 8 in the junction box 52 is conveniently carried out from the front.

Das Medium durchströmt somit das Sieb im wesentlichen in radialer Richtung.FIG. 2 shows the valve arrangement in a position rotated by 90 ° about the longitudinal axis 42 in relation to FIG. 1, the second connecting body 44 and the second pipe clamp 48 including the associated seal 64 now being clearly visible. The further flange 66 of the housing body 8 can also be clearly seen, the flange 66 surrounding the outflow channel 23. The position shown corresponds to the usual installation position of the valve arrangement in such a way that the inflow channel 19 is oriented horizontally to the side and the connection to the connecting line is made possible laterally without any problems. It is also essential that the outflow channel 23 is oriented vertically downwards at a right angle and consequently the pipe leading to the urinal, bidet or the like can be easily connected in the same vertical direction. The inflow channel and the outflow channel are therefore expediently arranged at right angles to one another. From the feed line connected to the connecting flange 22, the medium, in particular water, passes through the inflow channel 19 into an adjusting housing 70, in which an adjusting body 72 is rotatably arranged. The adjusting body contains, coaxially to the axis of rotation 76, a first sealing ring 74 for sealing off from the outside. The adjusting body 72 contains a second sealing ring 78 arranged obliquely to the axis of rotation 76 in the region of an inlet channel 80, through which the medium flowing in through the supply line reaches the interior of the adjusting housing. The lower part of the adjusting body 72 with the second sealing ring 78 is assigned to the inflow channel 80 and, depending on the rotational position of the adjusting body 72, the inflowing medium is throttled into the sieve housing 4, in which particles which may be present in the medium are filtered out by means of the sieve. The sieve has a smaller outer diameter than the inner diameter of the interior of the sieve housing 4, so that an annular channel is present in which the supplied medium flows. The medium thus flows through the sieve essentially in the radial direction.

The adjusting body 72 has an annular collar 82, to which a connecting flange 84 is assigned. This connecting flange 84 is fixedly connected to the adjusting housing 70 by means of screws 86. The adjustment housing 70 and the inflow channel 80 are integral components of the housing body 8, the valve housing of which is sealed tightly and liquid-tight by means of the valve cover 10 and the likewise integrated sieve housing by means of the sieve cover 14. Furthermore, the screws 60 can be clearly seen, by means of which the housing body 8 is fixedly connected to the connection box 52 in the manner already explained.

Fig. 3 shows in the same direction as Fig. 2, the housing body 8 with the valve housing 2, the strainer housing 4, the connecting channel 6, the adjustment housing 70 and the inflow channel 19 with the connecting flange 22 and the outflow channel 23 with the further flange 66, on which the drain line is connectable. The housing body 8 is formed with the housing and channels explained as an integral one-piece body, so that special connections, connections or the like are avoided. This reduces the assembly effort to a minimum. The sieve housing 4 contains an opening 90 in the bottom through which the filtered medium flows into the connecting channel 6 and from there into a channel 92 of the valve housing 2. The channel 92 is at least partially annular and is referred to below as the annular channel 92 for the sake of simplicity.

As can be seen in connection with FIG. 4, the annular channel 92 surrounds an annular body 94 which has an edge 96 directed towards the front 9 and is designed as a valve seat. The valve cover already explained with the valve body (not shown here) and its actuating elements is arranged on the front side 9. The ring body 94 surrounds a central channel 98, which opens into the outflow channel 23. When the valve is open, the medium flowing in through the connecting channel 6 thus flows through the annular channel 92 via the valve seat 96 into the central channel 98 and into the outflow channel 23 and from there into the outlet line, which is connected to the further flange 66. The valve seat 96 present between the ring channel 92 and the central channel 98 can be released or closed with the valve body as required.

The valve body contains a rubber-elastic or elastomeric sealant in a known manner, which seals the connection between the ring channel 92 and the central channel 98 when it is in contact with the valve seat 96. The valve body is preferably actuated electromagnetically, the coil provided for actuation and the armature connected to the valve body not being shown further here. The electromagnetic components of the valve are also arranged inside the valve housing and are locked in the valve housing by means of the valve cover. By removing the valve cover, the electromagnetic components and the valve body can be easily removed from the valve housing. As already explained, within the scope of the invention the valve cover can contain elements for other types of actuation of the valve body or be designed for this purpose, with mechanical or hydropneumatic actuation being particularly pointed out here.

The inflow channel 19 opens into the adjustment housing 70 and, depending on the rotational position of the adjustment body, the inflowing medium reaches the opening 90 of the sieve housing 4 more or less throttled.

Finally, FIG. 6 shows a section along section line VI according to FIG. 3 through the valve housing 2 with the ring channel 92 and the ring body 94, which surrounds the central channel 98. In the radial direction, the outflow channel 23 opens into the central channel 98, at the open end of which the further flange 66 is arranged.
