Abstract

The pump includes a by-pass pipe closable by a valve (30) mounted in the cylinder block (7) in a chamber (29) which extends from the outer edge of the block at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the bores (9) into the space between the bores in the block. The chamber can be formed by a bore narrowing by steps towards its inner end. At its inner end the chamber can enter the suction pipe (23) which runs at right angles to the longitudinal axis of the cylinder bores (9) and across the longitudinal axis of the chamber (29) from the outer edge of the block between the cylinder bores in the block. A control piston is axially displaceable in the chamber to divide it into a top and bottom area.
