Description
The invention relates to a method of making electrical connection by bonding a rigid terminal on a conductive track.
It also relates to a rigid terminal for the implementation of the process.
It applies more particularly, although not exclusively, to the realization of connection electric for a hot plate or for a container heating, especially for a kettle.
An example of a hot plate has been described in French patent application FR-A-2 692 426, at name of the Applicant. Such a hot plate includes in particular a metal support surmounted by a layer of vitreous composition, itself supporting a resistive track. The latter is filed advantageously by screen printing and resistance form heating.
A heating plate thus designed has many advantages. She is first particularly suitable for heating a kettle. It is easy to clean, which is also hygienically advantageous, and allows a high thermal efficiency. Finally, due to its low thickness, it fits easily inside a kettle.
According to this patent application, the connections electrical, at the ends of the resistive track, are made by gluing, using a material driver, as the Figure 3 of this patent application. To do this, a wire or a metal strip is drowned in a drop conductive resin deposited on the conductive track. We then proceed to a drying and crosslinking of the resin.
For some specific applications it appears desirable to use metal lugs rigid or similar, instead of sticking directly the electrical wire on the resistive track. This method allows, in particular, to easily disassemble the plate, by disconnecting the electric supply wires current, these wires being provided with a terminal lug complementary to the terminal glued on the track resistive.
We know for example by the document US-A-4,023,008 a terminal connection technique on the electric heating grid of a window vehicle. The pod has flat legs or wings intended to be fixed on the metal substrate conductor that constitutes the heating grid, legs or wings being connected by a bridge carrying a blade for connection to a connector element outside. Said connection technique aims to prevent the risk of separation of the legs or wings of terminal which, after welding on the heating grid, tend to contract, while the glazing bearing the grid remains stable in dimensions. The risk of decoupling is avoided by making slits, indentations or perforations in the pod bridge, to reduce the section.
This solder connection technique does not not intended for applications using bonding means such as a conductive resin.
However, during the drying and crosslinking of the resin, gases are formed. For the bonding the terminal on the aforementioned resistive track, it is necessary to promote the flow of gases. Indeed, if not, gas bubbles are formed under the solid surfaces of the terminals. These bubbles gases remain trapped and weaken the contacts, both from a mechanical point of view than electric.
However, the Applicant has found that the flow of gases resulting from the drying phase and resin crosslinking was satisfactory when it came to gluing electrical wires multi-strand, directly on the resistive tracks. This flow takes place under conditions particularly good when the diameter of the strands is in the range of 0.2 to 0.8 mm.
It is however difficult to connect a connection on a flexible electric wire.

We will place ourselves below in the context of the preferred application, i.e. the realization of connections for a hot plate intended for a heating container, kettle type or similar.
La figure 1 illustre schématiquement un exemple de
plaque chauffante 1, en vue de dessous. Celle-ci comprend
Figure 1 schematically illustrates an example of

To fix ideas, the thickness of the
According to the provisions described in this patent application, electrical connections with current supply wires were made directly by bonding of these, using a conductive resin on the ends of the resistive track, 10a and 10b respectively.
If you wish, no longer directly paste the electrical wires or metal tabs, but rigid lugs, we are faced with the problems that have been recalled, namely the formation of gas bubbles trapped under the solid surfaces thereof. These gas bubbles have the harmful effect of weakening the contacts, both from a mechanical point of view than electric.
We will now describe the process of making an electrical connection by gluing a terminal on a conductive track according to the invention, by reference to Figures 2 and 3.
forme de rivet 2.Figure 2 illustrates a first example of
connection making using a terminal in

forme de rondelle 2.Figure 3 illustrates a second example of

In both cases, and according to a characteristic
important, the production method according to the invention
includes a first step during which a

- "CEMOTA HT 100" from the brand "CEMOCLA".

After the crosslinking step, the connector thus produced is ready to receive any system of suitable connection, such as a plug-in terminal 5 (for example on a tab 21 of the pod 2 '), a crimping, etc.
On reading the above, we see easily that the invention achieves the goals it settled down.
While retaining the benefits of a connection using a multi-strand electrical wire bonded to the resistive track (especially in good mechanical strength and good electrical quality of the contacts), it allows also get the benefits of using rigid lugs.
It should be clear, however, that the invention is not limited to only examples of achievements precisely described, in particular in relation to Figures 2 and 3.
First other pod structures are
usable, rivet-shaped
Other types of conductive adhesives can also be implemented. The materials usable are essentially related to the application specific envisaged and participates in a simple choice technology within the reach of the skilled person.
We will now describe the process of making an electrical connection by gluing a terminal on a conductive track according to the invention, by reference to Figures 4 to 7.
More particularly, Figure 4 illustrates a example of making a rigid terminal to stick on a track, according to a preferred embodiment of the invention.
In what follows, the common elements with the Figure 2 have the same references and will not be re-described as necessary.
On a
d'extrémité 10a.In this embodiment, the terminal,

le rôle de "drains".It is these lamellae, 64 and 65, which play the
role of the
Indeed, the bonding on the
gas bubbles that form during this step. The
surface defined by these lamellae, 64 and 65, must be
sufficient to obtain good adhesion of the terminal
on the
To achieve this advantageous effect, as it has been indicated, it is necessary that the slats be sufficiently fine. Typically, the width of slats, 64 and 65, will be chosen lower or at most equal to 1 mm. The sheet used does not differ from that of the pods of known art: one can choose, by for example, nickel-plated steel, brass or copper.
The
rôle d'un raidisseur de la base de la cosse 6.In addition, the central area, as it has been
indicated, is raised relative to the
Finally, if we provide the
Although the rigid
Trois exemples de réalisations supplémentaires de cosses rigides à coller sur une piste conformes à l'invention vont maintenant être décrits en regard des figures 5 à 7.Three examples of additional achievements rigid lugs to stick on a track conforming to the invention will now be described with reference to Figures 5 to 7.
These three structures have in common the fact of being present in the general form of an "L".
parallèles à la surface de la lame 60.The terminal 6a shown in Figure 5 has

orthogonales à la surface de la lame 60.The terminal 6a shown in Figure 6 has
also a
respectivement. Finally, the terminal 6c, illustrated by FIG. 7,
has a structure similar to that of FIG. 4,
in that the slats are oriented to be
parallel to the surface of the
verticale. This arrangement offers the advantage of more
large bonding surface, better stability,
and, due to the multiplication of lamellae, allows
better evacuation of gas bubbles. She is
therefore easier to make a terminal
for which the
On reading the above, we see easily that the invention achieves the goals it settled down.
The above version of the invention allows simplify the bonding process and make it more "industrial". It is no longer necessary, in particular, to use a foreign element (the wire segment multi-strand electric). In addition, the manufacture of is neither more complex nor more expensive than the making a terminal according to known art. The production of the slats can be carried out by cutting, together with the classic parts of a pod. The usable materials do not differ from those of known art.
Of course, the invention is not limited to only examples of achievements precisely described, especially in relation to Figures 4 to 7.
First, other pod structures are usable, for example structures in the form of rivet (of the type shown in Figure 2), flat washer or eyelet shape. It is enough that the base of these terminals has at least one zone fitted with thin strips.
Other types of conductive adhesives can also be implemented. The materials usable are essentially related to the application specific envisaged and participates in a simple choice technology within the reach of the skilled person.
Although particularly suitable for making connections for hot plates, especially for kettles, we cannot confine the invention through only type of applications. She applies equally well to making connections by bonding of all lugs on a material track resistive using one or more conductive resin usually a conductive glue.
